Pink is criminally underrated. Songs are great, videos are top tier, and her live shows are ridiculously good.

Now you need to see her sing this song live at The AMAs a few years ago...34 stories up on the side of a hotel! Yes dancing and singing live! Her performance live at the Billboards when she received the Icon Award last Sunday was fantastic as well with her daughter to the song they sang together. Pink was the youngest artist and only the 10th one to receive this award.

01:00 She really has slashed her husband tires (she said "What it was Thanksgiving") 02:50 Carey Hart (her husband) was really really mad and he went to punch next to her so he punched the wall and she litterly framed it because she said "It is a master piece he made that himself with his hands!!!"🤣

And yet, they're very open about going to therapy and working on their marriage consistently. So the song is a humorous look back, not the current state of her relationship.

Okay. I am just gonna throw this out there, but this song definitely can hit me hard. As someone who has been through some serious real life trauma, and actually has PTSD, this song reminds me that trauma is not a one way street. There are so many factors that go into it, and I think she does a great job in describing the love/hate complexities that trauma can bring. I know what it’s like to have to take pills to help control my brain chemicals, what it’s like to hit a “rock bottom,” but to also be reminded that Iam still here, and that it’s okay to feel a lot of hurt, but also comfort in knowing that I am loved and wanted (which also brought up a lot of guilt for wanting to harm myself and to be suicidal). Unfortunately, I never knew of this song until recently, but holy goodness, this song is a total keeper, and I would LOVE to see this upclose and live on stage!

Feel Good Time is a favourite of mine, mostly bscause it was originally going to be a Beck/William Orbit song but got scrapped, and then Orbit remade it with P!nk; I don't know if I like it as much as the Beck version but it's definitely fun and you can draw a direct line between their two styles.

this video from start to finish is this: they both self medicate via drinking and pills because playing traditional roles within their marriage is killing them, causing them to become addicted, just so they dont feel like they're lost within themselves and their marriage. Once she finds him, literally in a closet cross-dressing, instead of being upset she smiles because it means she wasn't the only one feeling like she wasn't allowed to be freely herself within their marriage. So they drink again to celebrate while also showing that they still have addiction problems but now its lessened because they're slowly allowing themselves to be free. By the end, their kinks and proclivities are on full display, showing how much they really loved switching roles and switching everything up. Its still traumatic what they had to go through to get to where they are, but its still beautiful bc they're still in love, still together, and now feel safe to be themselves behind their closed doors. Hence, BEAUTIFUL TRAUMA, The trauma will never leave them via their addictions, but now they have a bright spot, a beautiful spot, with which to be themselves while they off around and figure out how to healthily move on from the trauma.

Love your reactions...When I see this video it's a metaphor for the marriages if the 50's. If you look at I Love Lucy, Ozzy & Harriet, Leave It To Beaver etc. that's how it was portrayed on the outside. This perfect looking couple but just beneath the surface or behind closed doors...it was a train wreck. Women took a lot of pills and drank to cope with their lives. If you ever watched Bewitched every time you see them poor a drink they were really drinking alcohol. I'm not saying every marriage was like that but there were a lot of them that were.

As much as I love Pink, this isn't a favorite video. I like the live version better. As far as songs go, I'm kind of obsessing her All I Know So Far; Cover Me in Sunshine (She does with her daughter) and I'm still humming 90 Days every so often. And those aren't even my faves. My faves go back to her beginnings like: Who Knew, F***ing Perfect, Try and of course Just Give Me a Reason. There are more but I'm tired of typing.(heehee)
