This Jaguar GR.1 Battle Was Insane! Getting 6 Kills with the Jaguar GR.1 in Air Realistic Battles!

I wish I had recorded this when it happened, but I really wanted to share with you this rather insane battle that I had in the Jaguar GR.1 in War Thunder!
The Jaguar GR.1 is considered a strike aircraft in the game of War Thunder, which means that it is ideally suited to ground attack roles. Whilst it does come with air to air missiles, it is not ideal as a fighter, especially as there are more capable enemies in the game!
Well, join me in this match as I share with you a rather insane battle I had recently in the Jaguar GR.1 in air realistic battles, where I came top of the team with 6 kills and finishing the match with only 10 seconds of fuel remaining!
This aircraft has no business being this good! Or maybe I just got lucky . . .

Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Jaguar as a result of playing some ~250 spawns in EC Air Sim in a talisman'd Jaguar IS. It's much more capable than people make it out to be, I believe, because it pulls so damn hard in those first two turns that you can finish the fight quickly. Those damn combat flaps are legendary.

I'd love to play the Jaguar, it seems a very interesting plane to fly, but I doubt i'll ever actually make it to high tier... (Also, just found this channel from your discord- Wish I knew about it sooner!!)

The Jag is good fun, but it does have a different playstyle especially given the kinds of enemies you could face in matches

Well done! I was playing the Jaguar GR.1 yesterday also. I am still trying to spade it, but have been able to get a few 4-kill matches by quickly launching the AIM-9Gs, landing, re-arming and repeating, but it is very situational. Mostly, I have been struggling against the flight performance of the opposition. I am very surprised that you scored the hit on the Mig-21 at 2:04; I am still awful with the Adens. I have only had very limited success in ground attack. Experiencing silver lion deficits recently, and was experimenting with loading bombs on the Jaguar, but it seems that anything more than the 250 pound bombs and it is no longer capable of accelerating to its top speed before reaching the other side of the map. Satisfying kill on the AV-8 - that fight did not initially seem like it was going to end well. I am not sure if you aware aware of this, but if you bound different keys to lock and fire the missile, you can repress the lock key after the IR seeker tracks the sun to reset the lock.

The Jaguar does sit in an odd place in Air RB - i find it works best as a support fighter. I do have different binds for my weapon types but in the moment of the battle didn't see the point to kill the lock on the sun as the AV8 was flaring and the 9G would be a bit of a wasted shot anyway - the only way I was realistically going to win that battle was with guns in the end - or if I had more fuel, when he ran out of flares
