Totally agree! But one difference on this channel that I love is how little live scope is used - if at all. I personally have no interest in video game fishing.

Good stuff! I love jerk bait fishing with the Megabass 110's and the Berkley Jukes. I've watched a lot of videos on jerk bait colors and yours is the FIRST to explain that opaque means you can't see through it and translucent means you can see through it!

I started using last year the 6th sense Provoke 106x and I caught a lot of fish on it but I’m still learning how to use a jerkbait And I really enjoy informative videos like this to make me a better fisherman so thank you

Jerkbaits are crazy! I never picked up one before summer of 2021 and I been fishing since 1990. I lost a potential 6 pounder the first time I threw one then lost the bait. 6 months of practice later, I caught that sucker! 5.88 pounds on a jerkbait and now I always have one tied on. One major change I made was switching from a baitcaster to a spinning rod for this bait. Way better action! I will be looking into other brands (especially the megabass) next season. Right now it's all Googan Squad Scouts in yellow perch color killing it for me. Might try changing the hooks to get some sinking action like you mentioned here. Always informative videos! Keep it up!

I just started fishing jerkbaits for smallmouths the last month or so and have had pretty good success. I fish exclusively from the bank so I use the berkley hit stick since its a super slow riser. It really helps me from snagging since I fish a very snaggy, rocky lake here in Colorado. Thanks for the great tips on this video.
@eetechtom2 жыл бұрын
After years of no success with a jerkbait, I started using a spinning setup. It helped me a lot! Your tip at the end is going to make me try a small bait tied on the spinning set-up, and a larger one on a baitcaster.
@wilmerpruitt63243 жыл бұрын
Well Done! Excellent presentation on a subject that is pertinent right now. I've been fishing minnow imitators (Jerkbaits) since the 70's. I even use the same two brands of lures primarily. But I especially like the Rapala Shadow Rap SHAD in warmer waters. I do leave slack lay on the water unlike your style.
@RippinThemLipsTV3 жыл бұрын
I’m new to this style of fishing, and this is exactly what I experienced the other day when I went out fishing. I was wondering why there were multiple Shad dying and trying to stay alive on the surface. This tip of yours is going to help me out extremely the next time I go out on the water. Thanks, ~ Manny ~ 🤙🏼

Sup. Great video. I've been still catching bass, but I didn't change the cadence that much, makes sense when saw the dying shad! I will do the slower cadence retrieve. My other big problem now is have them so mixed up I don't remember which is which lol. So sometimes it's a little luck. Everytime I use 1 now I put in a baggy and label what it does until I can put in order lol. Ty tc

Rapala Shad rap 11 slow sinking and Shad Rap 11 deep slow sinking are great jerk baits. Won a lot of money on them last season. You will need to have replacement hooks as they are light wire and will break if you catch a lot of drum on them in Erie.

Hey Tyler great stuff. Over the last few years I’ve worked and researched cold water jerkbaits to try and get better with them. I’ve even tried only gone out in the boat with just jerkbaits to try an learn them. Yourvids havehelped butcan you do another one and focus on detecting the strike. I get frustrated watching all these videos an a lot of them assume everyone knows what to do. Your help would be welcomed n even if some of your viewers could give their advice an experience to help me solve this issue an become a better cold water fisherman. Thx.
