Pick up Johnny he has some pretty simple combos you can learn that do almost 300 dmg. This was my first mk game I actually started playing online and winning. You can always learn. Watch some 15 min guides on fundamentals and some guides on whatever character you wanna play

Every time he’s within single dash range would it not be safer to just throw out shadow kick and block on the offchance it doesn’t catch you? I’d think that’d be the better way to apply pressure since he was gettin zoned really well.

Too unsafe. Shadow kick gets blocked he’s guaranteed to get hit by a full combo unless he has breaker.
