Why do the 2 main parties think they have a right to be the dominant political parties and that they are entitled to our votes. Vote reform.

We in Norway have stayed out of the EU. The governments here held referendums about joining in 1972 and 1994. Both times, the Vikings said NO!

No, we do not. Our country is done for if Reform gets into power. There have been no benefits whatsoever from Brexit, and Starmer making these closer ties to the EU is a good thing.

@@WalkerAN13 I don't think anyone in the UK actually has a problem with Europe, or the EU. We just don't want to be governed by them and their undemocratic structures. Not to mention the lack of sovereignty that brings. I'd wager that many Brexit voters frequently travel in to and throughout Europe. I you would humour me, if Reform get in to power and they are a dictatorship of sorts, is that going to be worse than either the tories or Labour? At least we would actually find out if Farage is a tyrannical, misogynistic, racist, islamahomoxenophobeist. Of which, I would expect him to be met with incredible backlash and insult.

The EU is collapsing. They need our tax money. Which Starmer always finds for foreign endeavours but can't afford to keep pensioners warm. Traitor.

In 2023, 42% of all UK exports went to the EU and 52% of all the UK's imports came from the EU. Closer trading ties would seem very good for the UK economy and UK jobs.

On Northern Ireland - the tail is wagging the dog. On pensioners - we paid into the pension system. It's not our fault if the government spent the money on other things and run it like a Ponzi scheme, expecting the young (which they discouraged couples from having by a raft of anti-family edicts) to pay for what we were entitled to receive. Which leads to us (supposedly) needing all the immigrants because there are not enough young, but, of course, what we're getting is people that cost more than they add to the economy (according to some recent statistics), putting even more pressure on the shoulders of the young. It sets the young against the old when we should be all looking at the government (and I don't just mean the visible politicians). Meanwhile they're doing more damage and saying "There's nothing to see over here".

'The Conservative Part better be ready', people will be be laughing at Mr Baker for even raing the spectre of a a Conservative Party ever being taken seriously! When Jenrick lost the leadership election the Tories overnight lost any remaining shred of credibility. What a sad example of a worn out, self-pitying man this is. I've had a pile of life threatening conditions and 20 years (almost) in a soul/energy sucking situation and am at least 10 years older than him and I'm still ready for the ultimate fight! You cannot resign yourself like that.

High cost index linked pensions in the government, civil servants and nhs. Costs a lot of money. Think of Starmer pension and NHS Drs and consultants. Which is why we have private and independent social care settings. The agencies cost a lot in the short term but save money in the long run, no pensions and 0 hour contracts.
