I've known since the D4 thing that he was full of shit. If you've played any ARPG you know you can not be top of the ladder while juggling 6 other companies and everything he does, it's basically a full time job. He also didn't innovate at all in D4, he played the most broken build that everyone was playing, created by others, on the most broken class of the most broken season. It's obvious he was doing the same thing that he's doing now on PoE. He was able to convince people it was legit because D4 is a simpler game than PoE2.

it would be so funny, if one of his bigger shareholders sued him for not doing his job as a CEO, citing his claims that he leveled that character himself and then mathematically proving that he would have had to play like 16 hours a day since release to reach this level, meaning he can't possibly have done his actual job during the time. So that would force Elon to reverse his statement on the record and admit that others have played his account.

Remember that when L-on was asked about Twitter "crazy stacks" he kept repeating on Twitter space, his only response was calling the one asking "a jackass" (I think twice) and then hung up on everyone not long after. I'm into space and stuff and used to be behind Elon, not like some of the glazers are like believing he's a deity and can do no wrong but I thought he was okay but so much stuff with him recently just makes me realise that he's a total jerk...All the Trump stuff and now this. He's always saying how he is head of engineering at SpaceX but that's probably only because he owns the company so he put himself in that position. Imagine literally being the richest man on earth and needing to feel the need to lie about being a gamer, wow...like what does he have to gain from lying? It's just weird.

On the map device thing, I can understand giving leeway there. I played PoE1 for years. I've got dozens of thousands of hours in gaming. I am in no way ashamed to admit that my no-tooltip-reading-ass took a solid couple minutes to realize how the hell the map device worked, and even now it takes me a moment when I open it up to take stock of where I can go. IMO, that's more of a GGG issue with the color palettes used, as they are not very easy to discern given the way it's presented. Might be that the dev involved is partially colorblind, so it's easier for them to see, but for me and at least a good number more in my guild, it was definitely not intuitive. That said, he's 100% account sharing. He just sucks at the gameplay, i'd understand if he was mid 80s right now, but almost level 100 on a stacked endgame character? Not a chance.

the map device thing isn't even important in that case, I'am not even doing the endgame, I only did the campaign and even for me what he is doing is completely out of the ordinary and what it told me is that he is also a fraud in D4 because no Diablo veteran would drag his items from the ground to his open inventory, no veteran would go on missions with his inventory completely full, no veteran would forget about refilling his mana. This dude is a pathetic fraud and it's more obvious than ever.

My main issue is why even bother about lying? What's the point? If he was honest and payed poe2 and wasn't the in the top 100 because he's busy (multiple companies, etc), it would still mean he was a gamer. Why ruin any gaming credit he has by lying about this? It's sad.

Yes, that's another thing and okay sure you can be bad at Elden ring, there is nothing wrong with that BUT he was pretty far in the game and his build clearly showed that he HAS NO IDEA about the basics, he was fatrolling with two shields equipped, shields which were basically the same when it comes to stats... other than that who puts everything in int and then runs with shields... he is an idiot.

I think this goes back to Elon's Elden Ring build as that was memed on so hard people made videos remaking their builds exactly on how Elon did. Quake, Elden Ring, Diablo, now PoE2. Elden Ring had some red flags as to his own skill (shite build), but PoE2 was the most obvious one to pull apart.

To your point about proof of him faking his character achievements in D4, its super simple and you dont even have to look at any gameplay. Transferable skills. I only played a tiny bit of PoE1, but i started up PoE2 right away. Ive played many other ARPGs including Diablo right from the start. 95% of the stupid shit Elon did is immediately sus if you are a world record holding leaderboard player for ANY other ARPG, especially D4. Its like a top ranked guild raider in MMOs hopping into FFXIV and wondering why some random city NPC wont give them a quest, or being unable to navigate crafting menus. Mana flasks, clicking map nodes for travel, inventory clearing, accurately talking about iLevel. All of this stuff is muscle memory for anyone even approaching Elon's supposed experience. The way he talks about the game and plays it says "Ive seen these games and played maybe 50-100 hours over like a decade". Which theres nothing wrong with that at all. Its lying to this extent that makes it such a notable character flaw.

But like it or not people see these achievements as something to strive for, like any hobby or competition. Should we not care about steroid usage in sports? Weight classes? The richest and one of the most powerful men in the world also feels the need to steal the achievement and spotlight of being the best at a thing from people who really work for it because... boredom I guess?
