For when you want a fun and less serious golf experience with friends I fully recommend walkabout mini golf!

I play Golf+ every single day. I have hit over 10k shots in game. It's fuckin' awesome, and a great way to cut your teeth learning the game before you take it out on to the fairways. It also keeps me in great shape for when I get out and play with the boys. Super glad I've found it, and it's become something I look forward to every day, playing my ranked rounds.

Meta quest 3S is and Quest 2 with Quest 3 chips in it, lens are not as good and screens are less sharp. but you can play all the games the quest 3 plays

I’m curious if you could use one of these to display launch monitor results in front of you with blended reality. That would eliminate the need for an expensive screen and projector setup and allow you to hit into a regular net with your real clubs while still getting the simulator experience.
@purplejay1873 күн бұрын
they had a prototype for that

I think with a capture card, you can display any HDMI out device on the headset. IDK if that answers your question, but hopefully!

Hitting a real ball with a headset on would be tricky

I had the Android version of the Skytrak+ range software sideloaded in my Quest 3. Now I run the iPad version in my Apple Vision Pro. You could also run it on a gaming PC & use Moonlight or Steam Link to stream it to either headset. I hit Sci-Core practice balls that read like Callaway Supersoft Max balls. No projector, no screen. Just a hitting mat & a net. I hit outside in a semi-open carport, rain or shine.

@@bassmasta9117 - it’s no different than without a headset, because the pass-through works very well.

Hi, have you got a preferential headstrap for playing golf+
@frozenninja40302 күн бұрын
My preferred headstrap is the Kiwi Designs Comfort Battery Headstrap. It isn't terribly expensive and makes a world of difference for comfort. You can get it without the battery for a bit less money, but the battery will extend the time between charges by about double and, to me at least, makes the headset feel more balanced with the battery pack on the back.

Does it give you motion sickness at all? Really looking to get one
@OwenThesaints-z5k3 күн бұрын
I bought my quest3 just for golf, it’s fantastic as I cant play where I live - the only motion sickness issue I have found is if you accidentally click while the ball is in flight, your vantage point is way up in the air & it can give you a bit of a shock
@mojappa2 күн бұрын
Almost any VR game where your actual movements are the same as what’s happening in the game has little motion sickness risk. That typically comes from games where you’re seeing movement on the screen that your body isn’t feeling, such as driving/flying games.

I don’t get motion sickness playing this game. I love it.

Can confirm the game is accurate, I suck just as bad on the headset as I do in real life

I am currently not using the accessories, but I just feel that the distances is not correct when comparing VR to Simulator to real life
@Golficity3 күн бұрын
It’s definitely not nearly as accurate as hitting a real golf ball on a simulator/launch monitor. You can though adjust your settings a bit in the game to make your distances more accurate to how far you hit it in real life.

Ruins irl don’t mess around with it. You can flick your wrist and hit it 300. You have to half swing for it to pick up accurately. The club swing weighted sticks still do not feel like a real club . Caution ⚠️

Can you chunk the ball or blade it
@Golficity3 күн бұрын
There are different settings in the game (amateur, pro, etc) that make mishits more realistic but it certainly more forgiving than hitting a ball in real life.
@afulton3273 күн бұрын
Contact is always considered to be center of the club face. BUT you still need to have a decent swing (or at least a repeatable modified VR one) to play well a the pro settings b/c it takes swing path, speed, club face, approach angle, etc. into the shot. Anybody can play and get the ball in the air, but scores over 100 can still absolutely happen. I will say, that center contact makes playing or working on your swing feel a lot less frustrating at the very least!
