When I was 16 I began an afterschool job at a local service station. One day a regular customer brought a newly purchased used car in for an oil change. He asked me to let him know what I thought about his purchase and I proceeded to point out every imperfection I could find. Later, after he left, the owner of the service station pulled me aside and mentored me about not knocking a man's vehicle, that it wasn't helpful. I learned a lot that day about respecting others. Obviously, this is a case where you did this customer a great service and perhaps saved his, or others, life.

He shared some great advise. I generally only point out safety items and rarely “critique” others vehicles.

I grew up just down the road from you guys, I've been on the East Coast for the past 25 years. There's a place in Virginia, a bunch of used car dealerships all clumped together, and those slimy dealers all paint the bottom of the vehicles black, to cover all the rust. Looks pretty good from about 6 feet away :)

Anyone who watches Just Rolled In knows the fix for that rusty frame is spray foam and duct tape. Maybe a little baling wire or old lamp cords.👍 It's a bad day when Chad can't remember what happiness depends upon. 😄

I am definitely glad that you guys are showing all the things that people can do to their vehicles and decide to bring it in for repairs because they say I just herd it start making a noise!!! Lol after seeing a ring and pinion with no teeth on them anymore or no brakes left!!! I have definitely seen my fair share of things myself also!!! I try telling some people and I swear they don’t believe me when telling them!!! Maybe if they see some of the things that people bring you maybe that will help them think about some maintenance on their own vehicles!!! Lol!! Write!!

That first vehicle with the rust looks like upstate New York (The main body of the state is called upstate). The local salt is extremely caustic to iron and most metallic surfaces and it snows 7 months out of the year. The salt destroys vehicles fast. Some even drive winter and summer cars! 40 years ago I moved to Colorado for the easy winters. Lol
