@d.c.thirtythree77526 ай бұрын
@@rosegombos2120 Lenny lost himself at 18 years old, he let the little bit of fame go to his head like he already made it. Lenny Cooke was a phenomenal basketball player who had no guidance.
@alanlee673 ай бұрын
@@d.c.thirtythree7752 He probably looked great in high school but that's not really an indicator. It could be the floor, it could be the ceiling. He had natural gifts but probably not the intelligence, work ethic, or drive to do anything notable at the pro level.

What's wrong with drinking beer and cooking dinner for your woman? Sounds like a sweet life.
@goku3601005 ай бұрын
@@deshawnbrinson2298 Well he did blow it cause he's an idiot and shouldn't have been partying so he'd be in Lebron James position and not think he was better than Kobe. Although Lebron definitely could've sold his soul and if he did then his after life will be unimaginably worse than Lenny cooks life on Earth if Lenny has God. I wanna play in the NBA and could right now if I sold my soul. But life on Earth is so temporary and I am not gonna be burning for eternity, seeing unimaginable scary monsters in Hell, and not have a life that is unimaginably better than Lebron has on Earth that last forever. So if God does not want to get me to the NBA then I just have to deal with it and God is always first before anything else.

Back in the jets in the 80s it was a lot of people like this. If you think about it, if you played basketball 🏀 you know 💯 what is happening. In summer leagues and it's no school, people can see that is happening. If they started looking at summer leagues. Some of the drop outs would have a chance.

This is Earl 'The Goat' Manigault's story again. HBO did a movie about him. It was kinda heartbreaking. I wouldn't call it wasted talent, just lost talent. LeBron had a huge support system. Groomed and nurtured to be what he's become. Lenny apparently not so much. Bad luck and bad decisions can do anyone in. Sad story of course. James becomes the all-time leader in points in NBA history and Cooke got nothing. Just reminds you how the world isn't fair. Injury isn't always a torn ACL or labrum. Mental health and keeping the ego in check, the type of things that need to be monitored for young, presumably future superstars. Thanks for the video. 👍
