Thanks that’s really interesting. I’ll be trying Chelan in the near future. I have a question. I live very close to Lake Sawyer and Lake Wilderness near maple Valley, WA. I’ve read mixed info if there are Kokanee there.. do you have experience there or do you know if there are any Kokanee there. I’ve fished a couple times but no luck but I was paddling and not really fishing. I have an electric motor on my kayak now and a small boat so I’m ready.

How did you get your kayak to Lucern basin? Is there a road?
@spiltmilt10 ай бұрын
Long paddle or launch at 25 mile

Are you actually paddling 20Plus miles on your paddle kayak to the north? If so how long does the paddle take?
@applevalleyknifeshop424210 ай бұрын
@@spiltmilt 25 mile isn’t close enough for a long paddle. Perhaps the Chelan Boat company dropped you off?

More great teaching. Did the water clarity there impact the "flash affect" in your prior video? Also, have you found a significant difference between using the line clip versus a slider for weights on trolling depth? Thanks again for the great content.
@spiltmilt10 ай бұрын
It could be that more flash might perform better in less clear waters. I am going to continue to try it elsewhere. As for trolling depth the clip and sliding weights will be at the same depth but you gear may drop or rise depending on the how much line you put between the clip and your gear and the design of your dodgers/laketroll.

Is there a good website to find out water conditions at lake Roosevelt. Going in a couple weeks and just want to make sure everything goes well. Thanks!

Appreciate learning why the lake acts as it does, I have fished Lake Chelan since the 70's. My favorite place in the lower section is over by the SchoolBus Memorial @ around 120ft. Have you ever fished the Macks @ Chelan?
@spiltmilt10 ай бұрын
I have targeted Macks they are my least favorite fish to target.

Great information. And the way you explain, makes it more understandable. It would have been nice to see you finish the video with a catch. I like hearing "There's a fish"

Really interesting. I’ve never fished Chelan, but always wondered why no one ever talks about fishing the surface like pretty much every other lake at certain times of year.

How do you get to Lucerne on kayak?
@spiltmilt10 ай бұрын
I've never gone to Lucerne just the upper basin which is the upper 2/3rds of the lake. But you can either paddle a very long way or launch at 25 mile creek
