Nice Slabs! How do you tie your double jig setup?

Simple loop knot for the top jig, then either another loop knot for the bottom jig or an improved clinch knot (aka fisherman's knot).

@@FloppingCrappie well had a blast with live scope. Is it best to have it on down view to see your jig. I could not see it when it was pointing out. And if i point it straight at a bruch pile. I had to turn it kinda sideways to see jig. It takes getting use to. But man it is wild to see crappie on brush with this thing. I scanned under some pontoons at a marina. And crappie were all under them. But had lock jaw. Going again here in a bit. Have a great day.

The crappie fishing is great on Lake of The Pines. This past weekend you could count over a hundred boats from the dam, and its that way most every weekend. I love watching these videos but they not good for the lake. I have seen it fished down and take years to recover.
@FloppingCrappie5 жыл бұрын
I've heard that winter time crappie fishing can be a mad house on this lake near the dam. I know that some will not like videos promoting a lake, but it does help the local guide(s). Thanks for watching!

Oh, careful! Dec 1st through Jan 31 TPWL Laws on the Pines and Lake Fork require you to keep all crappie you land no matter size. Hefty fines. Read the rule book before you go.

@lakeothepinesfishingguidel86925 жыл бұрын
That law is dumb. Let the big ones go anyway. They live just fine.
@ronaldclower15305 жыл бұрын
The problem is most don't know how to release a fish from 27 to 30 ft. A gentle toss will not work. Like a scuba divers coming up bloats their bladder, they float and die. They make a decompression needle but I've found if you rare back and throw them hard against the water it scares them and they bolt down. Past a certain depth they decompress on their own. On lakes without this law I've seen a trail of dead undersized fish floating because they don't meet state limit and folks just lightly flip em back. Not my law but for that reason makes sense. Safe fishing y'all.
