Every month, we add something that doesn't require electricity to help if that is gone. Examples: hand grinder for coffee grounds, and a French press for brewing. One month, we will make our rocket stove and stock pile wood for fuel. Just keep moving forward...a little bit at a time is more do- able than all at once.

@@610610billy610610 because believe it or not water can actually get into areas that it would generally be unwanted. Drains can clog, pipes can burst, structures can over time degrade and cause leaks, and get this! Nature can surprise people by dumping *never before seen, record amounts of water* which is happening more and more as the globe heats up. Which, whether you believe is caused by human industrial activity or not is acknowledged by literally every scientist who studies that topic

@@610610billy610610 Because water often floods into low places and 1st floor spaces and can take days to go away on its own. A sump pump would help remove that water in a shorter amount of time. I’ve been watching your channel for years. We all have a timeline of when our prepping journey began. Mine started in 2009. It’s a constantly changing world, thus our needs and prepping change with it. I recently had the privilege of a great learning experience from Hurricane Helena and Milton. I was born and raised in Florida. Ow living in Brooksville and working in Tampa with our family business. Both hurricanes were nail biters as to where they were going to enter the state. My Mother in Tampa ended up with 4 ft of salt water in her home & my brother and nephew saw a few inches. Mom at 95 will never be able to return to her home of 40 years. Thank goodness she listened to my brother and I and didn’t stay home that night! My place in Brooksville had a lot of wind & branches down. It’s almost 4 acres with many 200 year old oaks… beautiful and frightening during storms. Not such a good prepping choice, but it is somewhat secluded with a well and septic. I learned really fast that my Jackery 2000 plus and additional battery was useful for a few things, but the well pump needed its own outlet for any water! As a prepper, that’s the most important component! I watched your video on The Jackery 5000 with the fancy transfer box and decided it would be a good fit. I have 31 Enphase solar panels on the roof and am trying to see if they can be used for the Jackery? Jackery solar panels are expensive and flimsy… The thing I like about their system is if I need to bug out, I can take it with me unlike a Tesla power wall. ( having a few extra Jackery solar panels would benefit in that situation). Also the Jackery is quiet and because it has to be indoors, it isn’t as obvious to thieves as if it were hanging on an outside wall. Thank you for all of the suggestions you have given over the years. I love this new property you are working on and will definitely be following your journey. Should you decide to put that well and water filtration system on a Solar run basis, that would be an awesome video. So many of us have wells and need to know how to use them during a crucial period of time.
@koicaine1230Ай бұрын
We got hit by Helene too and since we are on a deep well with no power, we didn't have water. We didn't even know what happened because there was no cell service, no EMS, no FEMA, no Red Cross, nothing! We are prepared now and always adding. Stay safe ❤

@ , that is heartbreaking…. So many people were affected. It taught we preppers a few priorities. Now to get a transfer switch on my house and a Starlink connection! I’m glad you are prepared now… preparing for ourselves and for others in any situation is definitely on my priority list for now…

My doctor is US citizen but was born and raised in Romania. He told me the other day during my doc visit that if the USA pulls out of giving support to Ukraine that Romania and Poland would enter the war against Russia. He said if Ukraine falls there is nothing to stop Putin from attacking Poland and Romania.
