When I tell YOU …..that you cook like a REAL PERSON and made this ish look so good ….that I got outta my bed went to my grocery brought a pack of chicken and I chose yellow squash . What I love about watching your videos and following your recipes is that you know what it is like to be not so wealthy. I am a widow and have to watch my pennies now. I don’t have a slow cooker but my cast iron pot like you cooked your potatoes in was used instead in a slow oven. I used onion chive cream cheese in the potatoes and steamed squash because it was so much cheaper. Thank you Simply Mama cooks.

Oh my goodness, I’m 64 and have been using slow cookers for 4 decades and had no idea you could just throw chicken thighs into a slow cooker without any liquids and they would come out so moist and tender. I can’t wait to try this . Thank you

OMGosh! This was sooooo good! Great recipe, thank you! I don't have a crockpot & have never used one. I used the slow cook setting on my instant pot for the first time: 1 leg quarter, eyeballed the ingredients. I used air fryer lid to crisp up the skin. So tender & juicy, bones slipped right out. I can't believe how easy this was. Now searching for all your crockpot recipes😂

What a great recipe! Thank you, Angelica. I went to my local supermarket this morning and purchased some drumsticks. I have this in my slow cooker, right now. The only change I did is I replaced the chicken bullion powder with Adobo (because that's what I had on hand). Going to service it with candied sweet potatoes and string beans.

I came across this recipe last night and I saw chicken legs for 99 cents a pound at Costco today I knew what I was making for dinner! I don’t care for legs very much but I just ate three and I may have a fourth lol the potatoes with Boursin cheese in them is amazing! My gravy did not thicken in the crockpot but I just stuck it on the stove and thickened it up. Thank you! I will make it again and again.

I made this and it is my favorite chicken dish I have ever cooked. It is insanely delicious. I had a lot more juice than what was in the video and it was pretty thin but I think it's because I through away some of the flour and seasoning because I thought it looked like it was going to be too much. Maybe I shouldn't have done that. 😕 Also, I washed my chicken and didn't pat it dry with paper towels. Regardless, it was fantastic!!!

A couple of thoughts. It is Sunday, January 7th and I just started to take down Christmas decor. Welcome to my world. Love putting it up and nobody likes taking it down. We are not alone. :) Russets are the best for mashed potatoes. Cooking with some chicken bouillon powder adds so much flavor. Never doubt that. If peeps don't like it, they can do it another way. Their choice. The addition of Boursin is great in mashed potatoes. Happy New Year.

I agree with you on everything you said! Lots say the other potatoes are better but I prefer russet potatoes too! Also, I just saw where if you wash the potatoes and then peel them, you take the potato peels and fry them and I would be into trying that idea! Love eating the skin!
