I think it had a purpose in the level, I'm just not sure what. It was a progressive powerup, so once he got the mushroom, it became a big mushroom and stopped the cycle (it got trapped instead of killed so it stopped spawning more). Not sure how that affects the level, tho.

I really liked this level. It looks like a great blend of trolling and challenge/difficulty. It seems like a lot of troll levels are fun, but don't offer much besides the trolls since, once you know the troll, you can just avoid it. This level actually has some more difficult setups without bordering on sadistic kaizo or just being a d!ck. It seems like a fine line to make a troll level that also stands as a decently challenging level in it's own right, but I think this one pulls it off and I'd love to see more levels like it.
