Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

It's the cubby mini mite, I met the guy that invented this bait while fishing in Wisconsin, he gave me a few that day and its absolutely deadly on almost everything that swims. Been using them ever since. I murdered the jumbo perch on lake Michigan by casting it out on a 1/16 Oz. jig with a split shot about 4 in above it and slowly hopping it off bottom, a fish on every cast. Big bass love these too through the ice.

Brendan, you probably won't see this but "always" use a steel leader if there is even a remote chance you might hook a pike. They are great fighters and will cut a line in short order. Many years ago I found a multipurpose lure that would catch everything also, no not worms, haha. It is called tsunami twister and the poor quality ones I purchased recently probably won't catch anything but if you can find the older ones they will catch everything, I even caught bullheads with it. Enjoyed your video, thanks.

Great Video, The mini mites are excellent multi species bait, I've caught everything on them (except)Carp. The only problem with them is that the fish will rip them up, you can get more use by cutting it below the rip (making it even shorter; but just as deadly. Because of this they can get a little expensive. The alternative is just as good but a lot less expensive. Same brand just the Generic version, The Cubby Nail Tail. Comes in a pack of 10 bodies, the only issue is you have to have a shank less jig head like the one in the vid, they are Available in most tackle shops. Works great with wax worms for pan fishing

About 7 or 8 yrs back I came across this very bait in a bunch of gear I had inherited from a relative. I decided to try my hand at pan fishing with it and holy fish! I put at least 30 on the ice, same bait. I wound up fishing with that same bait all week long. Finally, they had niped away at that single ball so much, it finally came off. It was another week before I changed it out. They just keep biting it lol

No lie when you showed the canal and lure I said I bet he ends up catching a carp. Why I thought that is cause I have caught so many carp on a trout magnet which is similar to that little lure. They do make them bigger, or you can buy your own jig heads and worms and make your own color and size combo. Those smaller baits are killer this time of year though, so I usually throw a couple split shots about a foot up the line from the bait on my baitcaster.
