I played 7 first back in March. Half of 8 and 0-6 within a 3 month span. You could probably start here but playing through them this year maybe Yakuza my all-time favorite franchise. Excellent characters and performances. So many twists. 0, 6 and 7 have excellent writing.

So this game, like the previous Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, will act as a halfway point for the next mainline entry. With the previous Gaiden game and this games eventual success, we will see more Gaiden games that will act as a means of telling us how the old mainline characters have been doing since their last appearances. So, previous main characters will get some limelight while the new blood runs the show.

I'm so exited for this one. The pirate angel is pretty crazy, but in a fun way. Yakuza is one of my favorite game franchises ever and I'm just glab to see it explaining what it can do. I also really like that this game and Infinite Wealth have us going to Hawaii and seeing a another part of their world.

Oh Amanda, the last 3 games of the main line of the series are fantastic. They’ve focused on kiryu amd and a new guy named ichiban who you’ll love when you get to play them. There’s a kiryu game that is a prequel to the last one too where he gets insane spy gear and goes to a fight club esque floating island 😂

This game should have been titled "Yakuza 8.5: Pirate King Majima". It's like Yakuza meets One Piece.

I'm surprised you didn't recognize Majima till half way through but I guess it's been a while for you and he wasn't as massive a character in the early games

I actually recognized him earlier but I was afraid to say it aloud because I thought the Like A Dragon part of the Yakuza franchise was focused around Ichiban so I was confused. Lol
