Growing up the only wild myth I remember was that if you went inside a building in GTA SA you could visit Vice City. Looking further into it found out that it was a mod that someone had made that rendered parts of the Vice City map under the geometry of SA. Crazy to see that a mod can create such wild myths around a game, on top of all the actual myths that the game had without mods. That's a lost era of gaming.

there is actually a glitch in the PS2 version of GtA sa where if you go into the gym and spawn a jetpack in the corner of the gym you can actually flly up out of the roof and if you keep flying you will actuallly run into a small section of liberty city used in the cut scenes between claude and that one girl when they are featured in gta sa.

I bought an OG Xbox from Ebay as well because I didn't want to mod it myself. I think it had a unique patch for the Tony Hawk games because they normally don't work from the HDD in folder format but when I played them, they worked fine. Unfortunately, I bricked it by messing with the BIOS and got a new one though this one doesn't have anything special sadly and now when I try those Tony Hawk games, I get a dirty disc error by launching the campaign mode. The games were Tony Hawk American Wasteland & Tony Hawk Project 8. There are only like 9 or 10 games that do not work in folder format so it sucks I didn't ftp the folders before I bricked the system.

I remember this 1 GTA 3 mod where liberty city had a huge earthquake where many buildings etc were ruins almost like fallout 3; it was pretty epic.

In GTA Liberty City Stories there is actually a mission where you have to bomb the underground tunnels and a huge block of the city is destroyed, which gives the same effect as that of the aftermath of an earthquake.

That was probably Liberty City: Twenty Ten. Though it was more about apocalypse than earthquake. It had some cool atmosphere and all, but it also made some missions nearly unplayable, due to some changes to the world map, where they had the holes in the roads, which caused some mission-critical vehicles to get stuck sometimes. Oh yeah, it also added a whole new area after those tunnels at Shoreside Vale, the ghost town (and some cool easter egg locations around there too).

I've had more mechanical issues and random crashes with the vanilla mobile version to feel the console version worked better in my experience. Of course, the mobile version is case by case. The best is obviously Steam or PC original, but doesn't count for this conversation lol

These monster/cryptid mods used to creep me out back in the day. I recall Bigfoot giving me goosebumps every time I saw it. The odd way it walked/ran and the fog surrounding it enhanced the creepy factor further. Vice City mods in the mid 2000s were like the gaming equivalent of the Wild West of the internet in the late 90s/early 2000s, there were so many wacky and creative and weird mods, I remember how amazed I was when the first full mission and actual map mods came out, and I’m pretty sure we all had the same huge body kit Civic and Supra mods littering the streets until we installed so many mods that the game wouldn’t start. Then came time to reinstall the game and install them all one by one again.

I own the GTA The Classics Collection for PC dated 1999-2004 I was a member of a cd game club back when win 95 was first out and they sent a disk of PC game demos every month and you could win full games and I won this RockStar Games Collector's Edition for GTA. It has GTA original, GTA: London 1969, GTA 2, GTA III. It's a set.
