You can tell they're straining to pitch their voices up to sound as much like the original as possible. However, because of this, it creates an unnatural-sounding vocal performance that doesn't have the same grooviness. omg, i remember when this song was lost. all we had was those 17 seconds. a while before it was found i was contemplating making a post on a thread or whatever about how i kind of thought the vocalist sounded like a 80’s, British synthpop/new wave singer, even though no one had ever talked about it before. turns out i was kind of right! and even before that, i was researching for a lead about a Spanish independent label for hyper pop/alternative music called Spicnic Records, although it never really went anywhere. we were so lost, and there were so many hoaxes/microdramas in the community. it’s kind of nostalgic now lol

The reason the "Lost Files Version" couldn't be released as is was because of; 1. The vocal track being no where to be found 2. The guitar parts (while located) had to be re-recorded along with the synth track 3. The song was suffering from multiple dropouts during mixing. So most of it is still there, but some had to be repolished

Although the remastered isn't that bad, I still prefer the old one. The remastered did a great job trying to replicate it, they did something with the instruments, and I can't really point out what (I don't know a lot about music), I like what they did with the instruments tho!
