Me and my son fished a new creek today and did well, largemouth, redbreast, bowfin,warmouth,jackfish, and a gar and met another dad and his son. We fished with them for about 2 hours. Great day fishing

I have many Shimano reels and they all work well except when wet. Over my 30 years of wading I searched for a solution to this problem. While not recommended by Shimano, I found that the 3 oz. size of WD-40 is very portable and can rescue the reels when wet. Once wet I take them apart streamside and lubricate the inner and outer workings. Many of my wading trips have been saved because of the WD-40. You might want to carry this small can of lubricant on your fishing trips. I have no affiliation with WD-40 so this is not a plug. Thanks for your great videos and I look forward to your future adventures.

Interesting to see what reel you pick up next. For ultra light spinning reels I use the Lew’s Mach II metal speed spin size 100 fantastic reel in its second season with me. Caught a 3 and A half pound Smallmouth with it. Aluminum framed spinning reel. On sale at tackle warehouse this memorial weekend for $42 it’s normally $80 Thank me later.

What's the largest fall fish you ever caught . I have caught a few over 18 inches No idea what it weighted . To measure fish quickly I mark my rod. That why I don't need to keep the fish very long.

The newer Shimanos have slipped quality control wise as of late. I tried out a pflueger president 6925 and so far has been a very nice reel. It might be worth a look Leo. Daiwa has also really stepped up their reel making game over the past few years too.

Hey Leo, you should’ve purchased the Shimano Nasci 500 reel!! It comes with the “Hagane” gear as well as it is better sealed than the Sedona! So do yourself a favor.... purchase a Stradic or Nasci bro!! They have never let me down!

Love yer creek fishing Leo. Its a new video for me tho it's 28, March 2020. I do watch ter NEW videos also just catching up. You might want too buy a " PENN 2500 SSVI " reel.light fishing . It's sealed from water, salt, and sand ! A "Salt Water Reel " also used in " Fresh Water ". I have a PENN SS430 , bought in 1980 and still like new ! Also the new 2500 SSVI from 2018. Unfortunately it’s hard to find a good ultralight reel. The only one I’ve had that’s lasted more than a few years is a saltwater ultralight reel. It’s a fully sealed quantum catalyst from like 10 years ago that they don’t make any more. Thing is a beast. Unfortunately it’s the only ultralight reel out of dozens I’ve tried over the years that’s lasted me.

I love my shamono senada I think it is 2500 for my smallmouth rod but yes thay need to be cleaned almost as soon as it gits dipped in the water all it tacks is a littel sediment from the water and its dune time to cleen

multiple submersions with any modern spinning reel is a crapshoot...some get gunked up and sluggish...some lock up....some spin free'er than when new. No matter than brand....it's a crapshoot when it comes to submerging a reel.
