Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Yeah well what I didn’t show in this vid is I also fished for 45 mins off the beach with no luck before going to the back. Then going to the front😅 very long day that’s for sure but we got there in the end

Had a similar issue on the south coast of NSW over the last week away. The top section of the estuary was quite dirty and the fish were not very interested in playing. Went to the lower sections with more results. Tailor and flatties were about and definitely on the chew. Another great video Josh and I must say although somewhat in my senior years now, I have learned so much more about the art of lure fishing from your videos and these lessons definitely helped me with my angling. Josh, I was wondering if you tend to use “scent” on the hard bodies when the fish tend to be following and not hitting the lure too hard? Very impressive tips when you stopped angling and changed the hooks on the lure, there are not too many anglers patient enough to do that (including me…lol). Keep up the great work Josh.

Yeah they definitely seemed to be right at the front on that day. The water is gonna continue to be dirty as we are just starting yo get more rain which is supposed to last a week :/ And mark you have stuck around watching the vids for a long time and I wanna say thanks. Appreciate you for always watching and leaving kind comments👍🏼 I don’t often use scent on my hard bodies and that’s because with hard bodies the lure already gives off so much more action and vibration than soft plastics. I will occasionally use scent on hard bodies for bream but that’s about it. I used a tiny bit of the flathead in the video in hopes they would come back for a second bite. But you definitely don’t need scent for flatty. They see a meal and they go for it!!
