Nice story Sarge! 😉 I think that it should end up great for our 2 lovebirds if a follow-up is made, like meeting other interspecies couples. Here's my idea: Kylara's parents were shocked at the news of her condition & believed it to be impossible, they even suspected the pregnancy to be a fake one, it was known to occur in female draconians when at a certain age. Could the relationship have triggered a phantom pregnancy? 1 where technology could have made an error in diagnosis? Anyhow, the families of both Kylara & Mikhail had to accept that their relationship was real & no further objections were made known. The 2 lovers continued their education courses via online & got their desired diplomas. They decided to get married & move to a planet where their career choices would be useful & raise their child without any issues. Luckily for them, they have neighbours who are in the same boat as them! Down the street from them live a human female with her alien husband, a big hulking creature resembling a ram. "Meet my old devil Brutus," she said on their 1st introduction. He laughs loudly & blushes, the ram alien is an ex-soldier turned space cop who met his wife when he arrested a gang of smugglers, their cargo of abducted aliens of varying species were destined for the black market slave trade, "My good lady was 1 of them poor unfortunates," he adds on, "But she was no wilting flower, my lovely Rose (that's her name) here had wicked sharp thorns & was willing to use them on anyone who got too close to her!" He winks at her & she laughs, she hugs him back & says to our couple, "Well young ones, you're not alone in this, there are others who have gone through worse to do what you did, you took that leap like we did & made it work. We have young ones too, some of whom are adopted & some we actually had, our youngest is just learning to walk now & the eldest is just starting High School. Your little one will have friends here when he or she will arrive." Brutus & Rose have certainly helped Mikhail & Kylara feel at ease in their new life.
