Dexys are small yellow amphetamine pills. Popular in the 70s and 80s among those who frequented "Northern Soul" all nighters. Working class kids from the North West of England and Scotland would dance all night to little known Motown records imported from America. KTF was their slogan. Keep the Faith. Shout out to all the Northern Soul oldies.

The 80's wins for the generation of most HAPPY music. There was no such thing as whiny and sad. It was energetic, bright, and great for rolling down the windows, feet out the passenger window while your best girlfriend is driving. Rolling to the beach with a 2 liter bottle of California Coolers you stole from Lil Peach on ice in the cooler. The boys on their street bikes doing wheelies on each side of the car trying to catch your attention. Wind whipping your hair, makeup free, toenails painted red to match your new little bikini. The smell of the ocean and cocnut suntan oil. Who remembers?

The song that made EVERYONE get up and dance. Clap along with the fast bit until your hands hurt. This was the essential 80s song to unite the dance floor, usually at private events, parties, weddings. In the 70s it was Hi Ho Silver Lining and the 2000's til don't know when is Heya. What was the 90s one? Anyone remember? Shawn and Mel, you should look up the lyrics....all I'm saying. Awesome reaction.

Thank you for your super reaction Shawn and Mel to this wonderful song! I can remeber for 'years' through the 80's: right at the 'end' of the music just before the last chorus - when the music really speeds up, the 'dance' move for this section only ... was to run on the spot as fast as you can!!😀♥♥xx
