I like this main deck approach for going forward but i also like playing 7+ Bystials with room to play Impulse and Shifter if im not on Fiendsmith cards. I think the striker lists are not good, the theory behind engage is solid but i would always rather have a bystial than engage in this deck.

I'm also a fan of the more pure Maliss deck with handtraps, bystials and the Maliss core. While that version has a better mirror match, due to the handtraps, you have a worse time going 1st vs handtraps and beating Ryzeal in the grindgame as its ceiling and power is lower. There are for sure advantages to either version!

Bystials are definitely the way to go because they also serve as extenders in your hand. If you NS Dormouse gets impermed or veilered you can still combo through it using bystials. Link Dormouse into Linguriboh, then use any Bystial targetting your own Dormouse in grave into the banishment > then you go Dormouse effect SS herself onto the field and combo from there. Because of this im a very strong believer of maining 3 Allure because it synergises super well with bystials. Also about using Impulse, dont forget Dotscaper is Earth so you wont be able to activate him during the rest of the duel so until Alliance Insight comes around i wouldnt recommend it

@ yep if your normal gets negated the end board using a bystial or a striker is pretty much the same i think not being able to use a dotscaper - a card i already technically dont have to use to combo is a fair trade for one of the most insane cards in the game rn

@@sul7718don’t even go for linguriboh, go straight for decoder. Your 5th summon will have ransom in addition to a reborned decoder, which sets up SP very well

How do you handle the mirror match? Whenever I play Maliss, I'm able to consistently beat other decks outside of the mirror. It seems like my interruptions don't do much
@FrozenCardGamingКүн бұрын
Against the mirror you need to play a bit different, as banishing their starter if they were to just normal summon a Dormouse does almost nothing. I would go for Sequence>Desirae before you link lock yourself with the Maliss' return effect. And you hold 07 to banish their non maliss body, say if they make an Accesscode Talker for example. Post side Kashtira Unicorn is also incredible in the mirror match. Birth can also be good against the Sky Striker Maliss deck.

Gryphon is very bad against Ryzeal because no matter the build they play 6 copies of Ext Ryzeal w itself and Bonfire. It discards Agreggator for cost in hand and negates Gryphon from the graveyard... Also depending on the combo A Bao leaves you open for a very well timed Nibiru because she is worded like Triple Tactics Talents, you have to declare what effect you will use. This means that once they know that you will banish A Bao they will just Nib you there tributing it, and her effect fizzles because she cant banish herself
@FrozenCardGamingКүн бұрын
If they go summon Ext to negate Gryphon then the Ext cannot activate its effect to search, and if they play Fiendsmith Ryzeal they are locked out from Chaos Angel, Caesar and the Fiendsmith links. I think that's a reasonable trade-off. In regards to Nibiru, if you expect them to have it, you can just pass on A Bao+Gwc 06 for White Binder. That and a Paradise in the Graveyard is a very reasonable end field that lets you tag out A Bao in response to Nibiru. Say they used Ash or Belle previously in your turn, you know they shouldn't have Nibiru and therefore you do the A Bao+Gryphon line without fear of Nib.

Interacting with the bridges makes it harder for them to play.

Amazing video, I just have a quick question, I dont own any mulcharmy, what would be a good replacement? You mention lancea for side, but what about fuwalos?
@sul7718Күн бұрын
You dont need any charmies in this deck, play 3 Crossout Designator to cover your weakness to Nib or play any other good handtrap right now
@brookebear18BКүн бұрын
@@sul7718 if you're playing this and Nib hurts you, you're not playing it properly. DB Grinder has plenty of replays of good players ending on a "full" board even through Nib. PakTCG and NeshTCG also have videos explaining and showing why Nib is a non-factor
@FrozenCardGamingКүн бұрын
In place of the Fuwalos' I would main 3 Droll & Lock Bird. As for the side it depends on what you want to side them for. Meowls covers both Maliss and Fiendsmith, if you want a side deck card for just Maliss then you can play Lancea. Luckily RC Stampede will be out soon!

@@brookebear18B even if you can “keep playing” after Nib hits the field with Link Spider and splash mage combo its never a winning position for you because it’s likely Nibiru PLUS some other Handtrap from your opponent. At high level it has happened many times to me throughout the weeks With like 21-19 non engine space I find it much better and consistent to just run 3 Crossout because it makes sure you’re able to Full Combo and be in a properly winning position
@maxwellabelson7794Күн бұрын
@@sul7718I’m not sure what lines you’re going for, but every starter except for opening exclusively sarc or field spell should enable you to go for the sp crypter line, which is pretty much fully protected by nib. The only way you screw that up is by extending into binder using GWC and missing an opportunity to reset it, really crappy gryphon lines fall prey to that

Why no ash blossom in main
@FrozenCardGamingКүн бұрын
I don't think it does enough on its own, and this isn't a deck like Ryzeal where you can consitently draw 2-3 handtraps that disrupt their plays (Ogre & Veiler for example) thus Ash has less pairs to fully negate their starter+extender for example.
