Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time KZbinr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.

It’s fascinating to me, that you’re one of the FEW KZbinrs who mention longevity on products. Most don’t even discuss the product after the one minute application. But of course, the products are pushed as “. Best ever”…😂😂😂

I agree! A lot of products will look good upon initial application but I want to know how it looks after a few hours! Does it fade? Does it settle into fine lines? Does it emphasize texture? Jen really does her due diligence and that’s why I trust her!

I think many KZbin beauty content creators focus on first impressions, and often don’t even give updates on the products after using them for an extended period of time. I love Jen’s reviews because she is so thorough and revisits products often!

Yeah it’s pretty frustrating that no other KZbinr even mentioned those Mario blushes fade super easily. That’s what makes me so skeptical of KZbinrs. We just never know if they’re being honest. I think many of them give good reviews regardless if the product sucks, because they want to keep getting that free makeup

Aw thank you! I didn't actually get my hair cut, I just styled it differently. I used my Dyson Air Wrap (I normally use a curling iron) and I curled my hair toward my face instead of away like I usually do. :)

thoughts: blush disappearing in an hour or so is shocking, i don’t think i’ve even got drugstore blushes that fade nearly as fast! using them as a base for powder blush definitely seems like the move. i also hate how many complexion products run yellow 😭 and i agree on the lip products. strong floral and soapy scents and flavours are awful. perfume is for the body, not the mouth 🥲🥲

I had the same problem with the ABH Cosmos palette, I was using a different palette for the matte shadows I need more neutral browns and beige to get the looks I wanted with the colors. Anything that tastes like soap that isn't soap should never be put near someone's mouth, that taste is gross.

Yes! There are so many foundation ranges that work for pale, pink toned skin, so it was about time for ranges to work better for different skin tones and shades. 😊

I would’ve been interested in that ABH palette if it did have these cooler tones, I find it strange with those warm browns, they really missed an opportunity there. Also, those Mario blushes have got to go! I know you like to keep things to compare but I’m a supporter of returning bad products when they preform subpar💅

As usual, I absolutely love how honest you are about every single product you try. You have no idea how incredibly helpful it is when there are so many people who refuse to talk negatively about anything, or wait until way after the hype has died down and most people have already bought the products, to actually give their honest review. I would absolutely love a full video of your thoughts on all the Oden's Eye palettes. There are very few people who will give actual honest reviews when it comes to their palettes, and while I do think they are amazing overall I agree that some are not all made equally. So it would be fantastic if you did something similar to what you did with the two here, with all the ones you have. I have actually held out for a long time on buying palettes from them because I feel like I cannot find honest reviews on most of them.

I have collected so many blushes in the past year but ever since I bought the Kiko Milano creamy stick blushes it’s all I mess with. I love them so much, really appreciate you recommending them. All of your recommendations I have tried have been spot on and I feel like that’s sooooo rare.

I wonder if the Mario blushes could be used kind of the the cream blushes in the Patrick Ta duos, where he recommends tapping the cream over the powder as a finishing step to add some dewiness back. I use a lot of cream blushes this way-powder first for pigment and lasting power, then a cream patted lightly on top with my fingers or a brush to add a more skin like finish, and it usually works really well.

I REALLY wanted to try one of Mario's cream blushes, but just about everyone said they don't last long on your cheeks. I work 12 hr shifts so I need a blush that will last at least 8 hrs. Oh well. No biggie because there's new makeup launches all the time!

I have to say that my favorite go to drugstore foundation for years has been the L'Oreal True Match that you like. I really love their newer formulation! I'm VERY fair, so I have the same pet peeve that you do about so many foundations and concealers being too YELLOW! True Match has the widest range of skin-true colors. I don't like the super dewey, shiny, greasy looks, so I really appreciate how carefully you describe things as glowy, shimmery, shiny, or glittery, as you're helping to steer me away from products I know I won't like! 😂 You're a lovely person, Jen, and I'm so glad to have found you and to be a devoted follower! 🤗🌻🤗

Jen I i love your channel and pretty much only buy recs from you (and used to never buy from anyone at all) but the Essence Princess Lash and the Elf Big Mood both smudge and flake big time under my eyes. No shade to you, just sharing cuz sometimes you don't like mascara that does that, and I believe they don't on you, but they do on others. Have you tried one of the blue mixers that will change the undertone of a foundation? I learned it from Mrs Melissa M a while ago. I also have a pink undertone and a warm color makes my face look like a pumpkin sitting on my shoulders. I think the brand she recommended is L.A. Colors but I might be wrong. It’s one of the inexpensive brands. Good luck.

Hey Jen! Thanks for this video, and for the POV that everyone's experiences with makeup are individual. My reply to those who complain about your apparent negativity would be that hey, it's your job to express *your* opinions and talk about *your* experiences. So anyways, I've heard about fading cream blushes by Makeup by Mario; Elf; Flower Beauty; Pixi; and Charlotte Tilbury. And those are just the ones I can remember. High-end, low-end, and everywhere in between. And maybe some of these manufacturers expect fading of their products; why else would Patrick Ta put out his highly-regarded blushes as cream-and-powder combos? It's almost like they expect - and desire - this fading to happen, it's called planned obsolescence. So don't waste too much energy on stating and restating your case - hopefully, the complainers will eventually get it. Love the video, and that lavender gingham check top is so cute! You are summer personified!

For summer, I have been using Loreal BB Cream in medium. I bet the light would be great for you. It comes out white and I apply with my fingers over lotion and it is wonderful. It changes color as it drys. Love this for Summer.

Sydney Grace has really good cream blushes also that are extremely affordable. I think they’re like six maybe eight dollars and then there’s a code to say 15% you can’t beat it and they’re beautiful on the skin just beautiful.

Hello Jen ,My makeup by Mario blush last a longtime you have to put the blush after you powder all over the face. I used the berry colour it is more pigmented.

Aw thank you! I'm still using the Too Faced Fluff & Hold wax, letting it dry and then filling them in with the NYX Lift & Snatch pen. I've been trying to be more careful about getting them even lately. I used to have no patience, haha!

That is so weird, I got both of the Odens Eye palettes too and I didn’t find the shimmer formula to be different palette to palette or the Jewels and Gems palette to be topper-ish, mine are all just stunning shimmers and duochromes…. So sorry to hear yours was different 😢

When I wear the makeup by Mario blushes, they do last on me all day! I layer 3 layers up, maybe that's why.

I layered them too but they just don't last on me. Sometimes it has to do with different skin types or even the weather and humidity where you live.
