As a malz main, I've noticed a similar problem. We're playing a post 6 roaming champ. Even if we don't die, by the time we're 6 or have any type of scaling, our teammates have most likely already fed to a point where it's hard to contribute. I used to be ranked as #3 Malz NA and diamond 1 before rank changes. Now, I can have a 5+ kda average and still lose, because teams do not know how to macro. So frustrating. Can't get prio in lane early because of mana costs compared to other champs. Jg's pinging you for not fighting scuttle lvl 3 when all you have is a crystal or tear. Idk. Malz needs a buff.

imo you can optimize malzahars 1v1 early combat way more than you think. Get biscuit delivery, Dorans ring, and look to utilize your Q's at the extend of the E & poke down w/ autos, try to poke them where they can't return the poke whether its staying max distance & only entering when necessary, when they're looking to auto a minion etc.) Then, you can try to quickly poke them down & look to ult not to kill them but to push them out of wave, if necessary grab a honeyfruit.. This will never fail, you will always maintain a cs lead & if you manage to keep them out of the lane you get turret platings which are non refundable gold. If you get kills you get a bounty, your goal is to anti carry not to carry but I agree that you can be more aggressive than shown in this video. Using this method I've achieved an 3k gold lead average. (Also team fight more than you split, go to side lane, push 1 or 2 then group.)

I understand but, 1 or 2 Q misses and ur oom... i dont feel like going crazy 1v1s early is the play... why would we play malz if we want to win 1v1?

@@prophetmalzahar If you take biscuit you can take those trades & you'll receive enough mana to push at minutes 2 4 and 6. The reason for playing agressive is to setup a kill for your jungler or to prevent a dive. It depends on the matchup but if its a mele matchup, I usually like to poke to prevent them from farming cs. I've also been working on a new malzahar strategy that I think has some potential. The goal is to take double tank sums & to get either a cloth armor or magic mantle & to push the wave but walk at them forcing them to chose you or cs but you're secretly tanky. Then to harass them w/ Q's under turret. You only have to ward properly & doing this strategy I've successfully hit 30+cs over my laner by the 10 minute mark. But if you take biscuit, you'll have gotten extra mana from consuming the biscuit & you'll have fully stacked your manaflow by the next back, its imo the most important rune for malzahar to take because there is a gold reduction on lost chapter there is no need anymore to take futures market anymore.

Malzahar needs a new rework. He doesn't feel any good, can't even solo the adc unless we play ludens which isn't efficient for most games. Imagine his R beeing the new W and the new R is like Yoricks ultimate but a void monster, that would be sick. And every time this void monster attacks an enemy it applies our E on the enemy and all enemies around him
