Nice idea, my only comment is that it would be better to have horizontal space for parrots to fly, not just vertical space. So a horizontal hutch where you can build cabinets below is better, and cleaning the trays would be at a more reachable ergonomic height. For those saying birds need to fly free, have you ever really considered how merciless nature can be? We stand on the ground watch birds fly and think they are free, when in reality in the wild they have to spend a lot of energy to fly and escape predators, constantly stressed and watching for danger, a lot of external and internal parasites, they get diseases, their babies get eaten, they have to drink water contaminated from human activities, food have to forage and thanks to climate change its unpredictable, if it rains hard no need to eat today because its too wet and spend energy shivering.... if the owner is responsible and meets the bird's needs, they live a very happy life without worry of food, with good access to medical, and they will PLAY a lot.

All the hate comments have to common sense. when birds are used to being with humans, they cant be let go into the wild as they dont know how to survive. also not all parrot owners keep their birds in the cage 24/7. Some trains their parrot to freefly indoor and outdoor. not all parrot owners are bad uk. 😔😔

@@efgerfgergferg6749 you probably know nothing about domestic parrots, they require constant love and attention not only from their fellow Birdy partners but their 'papa' which is the owner. I own a parrot myself and that is why I would to share with you my view on this. No doubt they might survive outside but they will soon be bullied by crows and due to that they get drowned to depression and will pass on. More over this is my first time seeing a sanctuary with ample of space for the parrots to move around. So in that way it's quite usual. Imagine if your statement means for other pets as well, like that dogs and cats should be kept as pets as well.

What a selfish, thoughtless person, a horrible neighbor from hell. Parrots makes annoying as hell loud shrieks. This guy don't live alone in Paula Ubin, he live in a HDB flat with many other households next to him, did he ever ask lets-say-5 of his nearest neighbors (upstairs, downstairs) if the birds are disturbing them? Some people has to work from home in the day time, these birds can shriek all day long. There are also people who works night shift (security guards front-liners, nurses, etc.) that needs to sleep in the day time. Please spare a thought for others.
