BioSyn has Rexy, but their compound gets taken down. Dodgson tries to escape and force Wu to come with him. They hide from the Rex under a car (like in The Lost World) as Wu finds an emergency box with supplies and a flare. Looking Dodgson in the eye, he lights it and sticks his arm out from under the car, drawing Rexy's attention as he sacrifices himself to take Dodgson out with him.

@@johnmonke8066 Rexy has scars from both the Velociraptor in JP and the Indominus Rex in JW. At the end of Jurassic World when Rexy roars from the helipad, you can see white scars on her neck from the raptor back in 1993. You can also see red bloody scars on her too, which was from Indominus.

Same for the chestbuster scene in Alien, the actors weren’t told they were going to be hit with real (sheep) blood, their screams of horror are real. Also in Godfather, it was an actual horse head, taken from a nearby butcher shop.

Yes, a real T-Rex would have just grown the tooth back. But you've got to remember this isn't a real T-Rex. It's a genetically created amalgamation that LOOKS like a T-Rex, and has just a smiggen of real T-Red DNA. As her children evolve back into their priestoric counterparts over a few generations, they might regain this capability.

Such a great detail. I have to admit that I've never noticed it myself though. I did know about the scars from the raptors attack in '93 being healed yet visible in the 2015 movie. But a missing tooth? I just love it how they went in such great detail with the tyranosaur in the later movies.

I do love all the visual cues that had been added to say "This is the same T-rex." Thinks like the raptor scars. I'd never noticed the tooth before. But that's a delightful callback in its own right. Kudos to the team.

I like how you point out, "in real life it would just grow another tooth." But these aren't "real" dinosaurs. These are hybrid abominations that resemble what we expected dinosaurs to look like in 1993. There's very little real about them. I'm guessing the part of DNA that would grow another tooth was corrupted as part of the "creation" process & that's why her tooth never grew back. Thanks for another great video that got me thinking about things in this franchise I've never thought about before.

I actually recall reading in a kids magazine at the time about the T-Rex animatronic losing a tooth on set, with the added detail that one of the cast-possibly Ariana Richards or Joseph Mazello-got to KEEP the detached tooth. It's possible that they were describing this exact incident.

I always assumed the tooth coming out was due to Rexy biting the Explorer (tires- like the metal wheels) in the first movie. I never noticed this during the glass scene!
