It sucks when you have to do things you would rather not do to achieve necessary progress. Give yourself a break, parenting a child is not easy especially one that has emotional wounds and abandonment issue, etc. There is always unwanted behaviour that needs to be dealt with... it ok to not be perfect and sometimes just hugging my kid when he is having a full blown tantrum does not feel good or right. I hope that it will be enough to meet his needs but I won't really know until he is older if it was the right way to deal with it for him. Every kid is different, raising kids get idealized like a full house episode but sometimes the realty is quite ugly. Your doing the right thing by trying... so give yourself a break...your heart is in the right place.

Recently the spiritual journey has been coming more to me feeling healing childhood stuff and filling up with love. Pile 2 and 3 Oh Charlotte.. It is time. I wish I could tell you all of the tale. We are on such a journey. Everything you shared in both piles was spot on magnified! We are 60 and 65. We are meant to be healers beyond what we already are. I’m a Mental Health Counselor and college professor. She is a Medical Doctor specialized in Internal Medicine. We are twins, from India and US in this life. same sex, (new experience for both of us in this life.) Still trying to understand that whole concept.. Yin Yang polarization. pile 1 !! thank you so much, i genuinely get so frustrated and upset thinking about how awful my childhood was, how terrible my parents were throughout and how emotionally immature they still are, (gaslighting, narcissistic, etc.) so i struggle with giving them my energy… i try to limit my time around them but i love them so much, even if they hurt me i want to love them still. i even sometimes get angry with myself because i want to love them despite it all, but i know its because my super attractor power is having so much love to give because my core frequency is unconditionally loving. i think i struggle the most with just wanting an acknowledgment from my father that he was a shitty, terrible dad but he tells me that my childhood was a figment of my imagination (because he ‘had it worse’, so the abuse i experienced ‘wasn’t abuse’) i try so hard to just release that because i know i can’t change him, but i also feel like i shouldn’t cut him off.. however keeping him in my life currently doesn’t feel like its in alignment with who i am or what i stand for.

Last night I logged onto YT looking for guidance because I was struggling through something. And waiting for me front & center in the feed was this post and I was so relieved because Charlotte is an amazing reader with such a comforting voice and vibe.
