I ordered a tlm 102 and a OC18 but the OC18 is brighter and more thin sounding than the tlm 102. The tlm 102 sounded way better for my voice

I have the oc16 and love it. It has the sound quality of a microphone twice the prize and the sibilants are not as sharp as on the akg 212

The are the firmer AKG staff who based in Vienna, when Samsung said they are moving to South Korea they declined and made their own company and Samsung let them buy gear they didn't want.

I have a pair of OC818s but am thinking of buying a C414 because they are on a ridiculous sale right now. Do you think having it would add anything that I can’t get with the 818s? I also have TLM 103, Mojave Audio, C214s, and tube mics from Telefunken and Vantage in the locker for LDCs. Maybe I should buy an R121 instead? (Different applications, I know, but if the C414 won’t add much it is next on my wish list)

If I were you, I would get the C414. The character this microphone offers… also, at the current discount, getting one now really makes sense. If you don’t like it which I DOUBT, you return it 👀

I just bought the La-220 v2 over the oc16 I feel they have some similarities on the sound,And less expensive. The other point is Tha La-220 still made by lauten in the us, The oc16 is made in china The ones that are made in Australia is oc18 and the oc818

But the company got sold and they closed the factory on Australia. So AKG fire all their employees, developers and engineers. From there Austrian Audio was borne, With the true developer and engineer of the legendary AKG wee use to love. Akg is own by harman kardon And Samsung at this point.
