​@@ffablackmodz9452 the best way is to get an arm for it, closer to your mouth and lower the gain. i got this mic and have the same problem. you could try steelseries sonar, which has AI noise cancellation i believe

It really depends on the person, how loud you speak is a big factor, id say Plug ur headphones into the mic then adjust the settings until you like it 👍

the am8 or a8 for voice overs, discord,live audio and streaming? i feel they are the same but if u just throw some noise cancelation on the a8 it sounds the exact same as the am8... so which one is better?

The biggest difference is that one is a condenser microphone and one is dynamic. A dynamic microphone has a way different sound than a condenser and blocks out even more noise because it requires you to be close to the microphone to pickup anything. The AM8 has a warmer sound profile and gives you that classic “youtuber” sound profile that you’re used to hearing.

How is the AM8 standing as a RAW mic for you? , purchased it using it with XLR and noticing insane amount of background noise "white noise" , after trying to google my issue it seems that nobody else have it.. of course with filters and such it sounds perfect but considering that majority of games use it by default I feel annoyed.

Strange. I’ve had no issues with this. And I actually get lots of noise in my room with other mics and this is the only one that reliably gets me good audio with no background noise. I would make sure your interface is good, cables are clean, gain isn’t too high

I had a ton of electromagnetic interference with the XLR input when my smartphone was on the desk nearby. No interference issues with USB, which sounds truly fantastic.

you dont use them together at the same time, you can do one or the other depending on what your setup allows for, however if you use the xlr then you miss out on the rgb, but can still use the usb for the rgb if you want

@@jamshush yeah, you’re right. But it doesn’t mean that you physically cannot plug them both into the Mic. I did this once, and my teammates were complaining about some awful noise in the background. When I use each of them separately it’s going well. BUT. The author of the video uses both seems like on a daily basis. So that’s why I’m wondering, is it possible to have both an XLR connection for audio and Type-C for RGB, and not having any issues with voice quality?

Any microphone with a metal net, usually on condenser mics. That way you could use fake nails on it. If you are from Australia, Don't get the Kmart "professional" mic, it isn't great for ASMR, sadly.
