You'll really like this series. I remember this show getting SO MUCH HATE for the artstyle, but let’s be honest: even with the potential budget limitations of the original 80s show, the fact every character had the exact same body type was kinda annoying when looking back on it now. Here, everyone is distinct in size, each have vibrant colors to stand out, and it makes them far more interesting. This adaptation is five seasons of really fascinating development for Adora. You’re gonna love her. Her VA Aimee Carrero is fantastic (who you may know as Elena from Elena of Avalor)! And Catra's VA (AJ Michalka) is Stevonnie from Steven Universe! And another fun fact: a lot of the staff on She-Ra worked on The Owl House; one specific character may sound familiar.

It hiliarious that you didnt catch that they are on the oposite sides. I mean... THE HORDE training kids to fight against pricesses. And shadow weaver said something about sending Adora to attack the rebelion. And then you have the rebelion where you have beatufill pastel colour kingdome with queen that literally have angel wings, and a pricess that talks about "rebelion should fight back not just ran away from THE HORDE".

OMG YOU'RE WATCHING ANOTHER OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SHOWS! I love seeing creators discover my favorites, but I tend to hate being there from the beginning because the wait kills me. I like to come in towards the end, so that I get the satisfaction of binging AND the joy of mounting anticipation for the last little bit. ... I did something similar with SU, as I rediscovered it during the wait for CYM, and binged the entire series up to that point before watching CYM live. I originally dropped it during season one...

Ain't that the truth. I don't think some people realize just how accurate and true to life the writing is for some of the characters. There really are no simple/easy solutions or choices for people when they are trapped in traumatic cycles. I think this show does a pretty great job of displaying the difficulties and mindsets of people gripped by trauma and how hard it truly is to break the cycle.
