Cinematography isn't just about making beautiful images. It's about telling a story through moving images, which is ultimately gawx's weak point. He has a good ability to make visually pleasing images, but that's about it. It works for social media, but it's not good cinematography. It reminds me of the TV show Euphoria or the recent film Saltburn. They do look very pleasing and that works for reposting on social media for the films marketing, but the cinematography is devoid of any meaning. There's a lot of style but nothing beneath the surface. Just nice images.
