I may have just bought the perfect watch. Or the closest watch I've come across to being perfect.
Today is my video of my first impressions on my new Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 300

Love this watch. Ever since Christopher Ward stopped plastering "Christopher Ward" across the dial I was sold. I only bought my first one when they changed that to just the beautiful logo. I'm sure many people don't mind it but for me it just comes across as a cheap looking fashion watch and ruined it. This watch is on my buy list when I get the cash together.

Totally agree I purchased a cw 38 mm diver orange bezel black dial a good few years back the cw logo is at 9 o’clock stunning watch love it they don’tdo this colour range now but the watch has been put through the mill swimming garden work etc still looks top notch bracelet at bit battered but that’s what a tool watch is for. great quick review by the way 👍 love the new logo and thete craftsmanship in this price range is top drawer

Bought mine on the back of this review and it blew me away when I opened the box. Weeks later and I love it even more. The black dial is amazing in the light. Got the 42cm for my 7 1/4 inch wrist and it fits perfectly. Went for the black silicone strap with red piping but will probably order the bracelet soon enough. Best looking watch I’ve ever owned. Running plus 4 secs a day.

I bought the 40mm with a black dial around Christmas and I could not be happier. It’s so close to perfect that I completely stopped looking at diving watches altogether. They really nailed the details with this one.

I’ve been eyeing CW and I believe this Company is going to make a large splash into the main stream watch market. I’m pulling the trigger on a 42mm and can’t wait. It’s not my grail but it looks better than my grail watch and thank you for the review.

I have become a CW “ addict.” I now have the sapphire, the trident and just received my aquatane, which has not left wrist for the past week. I love the CW experience. I am not a “ luxury watch” guy, not paying the premiums and markups, not interested in used watches, not interested in status. CW hits the mark for me!

Christopher Ward makes great watches. I owned one of their watches years ago and loved it. It happened to be a dress watch that they no longer make. Unfortunately I had to sell it as money got tight so had to do what I had to do. Great video James!

Like you I've never really had a negative opinion of the logo, the name was fine, but CW listened to the critics and made the change, it'll obviously help moving forward, totally get that this could be a one watch collection.

I hated seeing the name on the dial, but I love the logo. Name on the inner of the clasp doesn't bother me as that's hidden. This is really well executed.

The clasp is quite big and not proportionate to the wrist which is a little annoying. However I forgive it because of how good the rest of the watch is

I'm 100% sold on this watch after eyeing it for quite some time, except I don't know whether to go with the 42 or 40mm. I have a 18.5 cm wrist, so I probably could go with either and it would look good regardless. Maybe I'll try the 40 and give it a trial. Great review btw 👌

I thought it was beautiful in hand, but when you put it on and saw it from a semi-side profile, WOW. It looks like it just melts onto the wrist. The shape of that case is fantastic. Its one of those watches at first glance you think, eh, just another dive watch But the more and more you look at it, the more and more beautiful it gets. I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts/opinions after wearing it for some time. Did the love affair last or was it a one night stand?

IMO this is the best watch for the price. I don't like how the spb143 has the pip in the 3 oclock position and the Sinn 104 cost much more money and doesn't even give you a ceramic bezel! Also I like the thickness on this watch. IMO it's the perfect GADA watch.

According to the CW website, the 42mm version of this watch has a revised stainless bracelet that tapers from 22mm to 16.5mm, which seems like too much of a taper to me. Anyone else have an opinion regarding the taper of the bracelet? Other than that complaint, this watch really does check of all of the boxes.

There was something way more interesting to their old tear drop hands and wave patterned dials. That styling with these specs, dimensions and the flag logo would be perfection. I love everything else about it but aesthetically it’s a bit sterile/bland.

CW watches were better when they were the best kept secret lol. Fantastic quality watch, not knocking it, however its pricing lately is bordering on egregious. These used to be what, 400$ not too long ago? We're now rapidly approaching on proper horological pieces with its 1100$ and rising pricing. Why would I get this over an oris, tissot, or squale? Thats not a disparaging statement, thats an honest question. 1100 + shipping + taxes is getting near the "just buy a used seamaster" range lol (dont worry, I share this criticism with the likes of the oris). I purchased my C11 (The "u-boat/panerai" hybrid) for about 300$ on sale in 2013, its been reliable and sturdy enough for me to look at the brand favorably. This is a great watch and that bracelet punches WAY above its price range; but... you can just buy the bracelet lol. Not doubting the watch, just raising an eyebrow at its recent pricing. The whole point of this brand's popularity was its price:performance ratio, and it seems dubious if they are heading in a sustainable direction.

The 39mm longines is cheaper than the CW C60 pro 300 with bracelet. Again, I know tone and context can get lost over text and youtube comments, Im not disparaging the CW; on paper its awesome lol, Im genuinely asking between those two, which are you buying again?

@@WATCHingJames I figured thatd be the answer lol. If I may be so bold; I think most people get a Longines because it says "Longines" on it. I think most people get a CW because... *they want to*. lol CW really do need to move to an in house caliber movement though; your watch there uses the same movement as one of my invictas for context. (Invicta reserve I bought at a pawn shop for 80$ because they were selling it as a pro diver model lol). [and yes, selllita sw200, my other dive invicta has a nh-35Aii]. I do like the new logo though, "CHR WARD" plastered across my dial isnt exactly charming.
