Those stumps were a lot harder to dig up than I expected but you and your excavator got them out without much trouble. I like seeing Jerry running a dozer on your job sites. He’s definitely a master of his craft. If anyone can do anything with that wet spot it’s Jerry. I don’t know how long he’s been a dozer operator but I’d bet it’s been most of his adult life. I always look forward to watching your videos. Thank you for bringing us along.

Ya got a great point on the fall burning sir. Been many a machine burnt by an ember finding old dry matter on a machine. I’m always stopping and checking over the machines. Also keep an extinguisher on there.
@kaboom4679
@kaboom4679 Жыл бұрын
Also the reason why you don't let oil and grease accumulate . Dry leaves / grass / debris is fairly easy to deal with in a lot of cases . If the machine looks like it spent a few decades inside an oil tanker , and that caked on accumulation of oil catches , it is another story entirely . I have seen multiple water tankers emptied on a fully involved machine and do nothing more than slow down the inferno , especially when you have to shuttle water from a hydrant or drafting source any distance at all . At that point all you can do is keep it contained to the involved machine and keep it from spreading to the fields , woods , structures , nearby equipment . That is the primary reason to keep em pressure washed and fix leaks as you find them . All the other benefits are secondary . Insurance MAY cover the loss , but it won't cover the loss of income from the jobs you cannot do or the crops you cannot harvest . Also , getting a replacement machine is not done at a moments notice . Even a rental can take a week to arrive , and a new machine may take months to arrive .

Good morning to everyone @ Dirt Perfect. Earlier in this video you (Mr. DP) talked about a button on the 210 that gives you that little extra boost of power. I think that Jerry is that button and has come to life, and is on the 850b. Just like the Energizer Bunny, just keeps going and going and going. Jerry is one hard and talented worker and you folks are so lucky to have him on your team. Looking forward to the next video and seeing how this one turns out, hopefully, no one gets stuck in the mud. DP Towing and recovery might just need to be on speed dial for that part.

That bush pile was definitely a mess, thankfully though it was breezy which helped feed the fire. Jerry is a real master, it would be interesting to get him to talk about how he approaches the job and in his mind what he's trying to achieve. Mike, you are a good operator that doesn't frustrate me as I watch, unlike many others do. Thanks for making the videos. You put a lot of effort into the production, and it shows. I want to share a technique with you for prying those stumps out of the earth. Get a good bite with the teeth on the back side, then push down with the boom as you curl the bucket in and the stick out. You will be surprised how much power that critter has when you pry on them like that!
