Spillways where I live in Florida are posted with signs and cameras and are off limits to fisherman, otherwise I would be pulling in monsters all the time I fished them when I was younger but now are off limits can't reach them by boat either as they stretched and posted cables across the rivers , I tell ya it's a shame what Florida has became it's not like it was in the sixties and seventies when I was growing up.

When I was like 8 my uncle asked me to steer the boat and watch the depth finder while he fiddled with some pump (they were really crude back then and my dumb ass had no idea how to read it) suddenly the port side down rigger got ripped off the boat and approx a second later the starboard side went. I felt sooo bad I just wanted to jump overboard. But my uncle being the amazing guy he was didn’t even get mad. He knew I was a good hunter but an amateur fisher. RIP uncle Wayne, you’re missed by everyone that knew you.
