Spillways where I live in Florida are posted with signs and cameras and are off limits to fisherman, otherwise I would be pulling in monsters all the time I fished them when I was younger but now are off limits can't reach them by boat either as they stretched and posted cables across the rivers , I tell ya it's a shame what Florida has became it's not like it was in the sixties and seventies when I was growing up.

When I was like 8 my uncle asked me to steer the boat and watch the depth finder while he fiddled with some pump (they were really crude back then and my dumb ass had no idea how to read it) suddenly the port side down rigger got ripped off the boat and approx a second later the starboard side went. I felt sooo bad I just wanted to jump overboard. But my uncle being the amazing guy he was didn’t even get mad. He knew I was a good hunter but an amateur fisher. RIP uncle Wayne, you’re missed by everyone that knew you.

For your camera either take some weather stripping foam or just Styrofoam, zip tie around lens and/or camera and let it protrude out a bit. Will not detract from picture if doesn't protrude much but in turn will help absorb a lot if not most of impact if your camera ever falls over again. Keep up the great work.

Still scrolling through the comments trying to find someone who actually knows the origins of that snake. So if I take a rough guess it would have to be a Smooth green snake or a type of garter snake.

Nick those were some nice bowfin and a good channel cat. I hate your camera fell over but hopefully it won't cost that much to get that lens fixed. Great video man you always do a good job! That's why I love you show!

Yes. Definitely return here. What state are you in finding all these spillways? Great idea fishing in the often overlooked spillways.

He’s definitely not in Texas because there would be 20 or 30 people fishing there day and night...and no fish because they keep anything, they catch and fish it out. Plus there would be trash everywhere. Laws don’t seem to matter here anymore.

Hey Nick, love the vids man! If you want a good place to fish, go to Algonquin and fish the Fox river spillway. You can catch giant blue and channel cats there as well as big largemouth and gigantic smallmouth! If you follow the river down a little bit you’ll find a water treatment plant and there is a public park there you can fish that is smallmouth heaven!! My biggest one from there is 6.3 pounds. It was literally a football lol! You can also catch very nice sized walleye in there as well.
