Okay, now THIS is the type of gameplay I wanted from Zomboid, I wanted that dayone feel into the aftermath surviving it all. it always felt weird dropping into the day after it and my character just makes it even with all the negative traits

You know what they say in zombie movies: The zombies arnt the issue, the humans are. They are more dangerous because they wield weapons and think ahead. Guess you explored that option Simo. What happens if you survive the day? Does it just end? Would interest me. 😄

I got bombed by the military repeatedly. They blew up my supplies and tried to kill my car. I imagine it was since they saw me wipe out hordes with an axe and wanted to force me into combat. Either way, the humans being the danger is so true.

There’s a bullshit finale event where at 4am on day two a group of like 30 biker bandits attack you, it’s pretty impossible if you don’t have a car and leave before they spawn. Edit: that’s exactly what killed him at the end. If you can survive that or escape them then the rest of the game is normal zomboid afaik

That’ll probably be years from now, the devs are notoriously slow at updates. But mods like this add NPC survivors and bandits, and are easy to download through steam. The game has so much in it that it’s worth it imo

i survived the initial chaos being obese in muldraugh... after managing to escape with a car from fellow fallen policemen i was trying in panic to reach the isolated drug lab of my cousin at the outskirts of muldraugh, all was empty... and there was my bastard cousin... Eduardo, he decided to kill himself, in panic i was trying to elaborate any ide of what should be my next move, what happened with my mom in louisville, i had to reach there.. but the panic let my guard down, i think i heard distant voices from the small laboratory, so with vague bravery i started walking to there so i can see whats happenning.. suddenly some pain started coming from my stomach, i fell on the floor.... there was blood i only managed to see a group of people dressed in some orange overalls.. armed.. then i understood that i wasn t leaving that place alive, they were prisoners.. they probably reached that place finding shelter from the bombs. before my lights go out i managed to listen some laughter... followed by a malicious sentence : "look at him,you are far from home boy. finish him". sorry mama i hope wherever you are, you are fine "gunshots" "dies" this experience was in my first playtrough only in one hour of the mod i was astonished how game changing this mod is, i love it 10/10

Just had a run where I spawned in Rosewood Police Station. Finally get to where I am ready to explore the next location that looks to have the least amount of zombies. It was the fire station funny enough. There were like only stragglers. So I took care of the few zeds and go into the fire department... I hear and see a persons voice telling me to get out. Didnt think it would be more than two or three so I threw down. And they KEPT COMING... Finally I got placed into a crossfire and the final shots to end Basil Simmons life were fired from behind. Took out at least 5 Nuke Suit clad bandits... WAS AWESOME!!!
