I actually have a load out already that would accommodate this dart hose. I figured out a way to rig up a harness to hold a reusable wine tote (meant for 6 wine bottles) like a chest rig attached to a backpack. The backpack can hold about 12 mags (or hundreds and hundreds of loose darts) and the chest rig part holds 18 long mags. That would provide enough mags to last a round or two of play with the Matrix Fire Hose.

Wow, that actually sounds interesting. You might be better off using drum mags, theyd probably even fit better, but id still love to see a post/vid of you gear configuration

I bought this along with a villainator some times ago, and I can tell that these two are underrated. Compare to nerf, I would say that these are superior in terms of performance, capacity, build quality, highly modifiable, and most importantly, the price.

omg dr. flux you did! i never saw such an high rate of fire on a dart blaster.... and i have seen a lot of vids. what is faster: the pink p90 or this one? edit: even at 0.25x speed you can not really see them 😮

The RPM is roughly the same with stock motors and batteries but you have to burst with it or else the range cant even clear an average hallway.

I’m looking to make one of these for myself. Would you recommend going for 3s or 2s. I would use fangs for 2s but idk what I should use if I’d do 3s.

Depends on what you want for FPS. Krakens with daybreaks in 40.5mm is getting me around 170s-180s. Valkyries with worker smooths in a 42.5 is right under 150. Just keep in mind 3s will give you a slightly faster fire rate

God damn, that's a dart hose alright. Is there any possibility you could make it select fire to... Er, sorta control the rate of fire? Nonetheless, the mag conversion makes that Matrixfire a really appealing looking blaster.

select fire would be tricky but not impossible. The wheel that feeds the darts into the flywheels is eccentric so theoretically you could put a small cherry switch in there to count cycles. Then its just a matter of throwing in a arduino or narfduino.

as cool as this mod is I still think the matrixfire in stock form is pretty bad due to inconsistent feeding and to make it good you have to turn it into something it wasn't designed to do (take magazines) which imo makes the original design a failure especially since they've made good hopper blasters in the past

Because of the design of the "pusher motor" the magazine is a big part of what allows the blaster to have the rate of fire that it does. This style of pusher doesn't lend itself well to chains.
