Wow! Thanks for the in depth look at this thing that I didn’t think anyone else would care that much about. A few things I want to mention about the feeding (which I should have gone into more detail on my note but ran out of space): -I never ran into serious feed issues on the 9volt setup and I think the main reason is because there’s less amperage being supplied to the feed wheel. That lets it maintain contact with the darts without immediately spooling up to full bore and the static friction of that first dart doesn’t wind up being an issue. That setup has had a lot of success even with the worker 22s, although I only have one of the “b style” ones and I’m not sure if that has a different spring -Right after I sent this to you someone reached out to me about a similar feeding issue. That front hole of the magazine adapter was based off the front of the hopper, and I never thought twice about it once I got my feeding issues sorted out with the 9 volts. Turns out there is the slightest chance a dart can get caught up on the edge of it. I edited the design (so if you bought one from me don’t worry) but you can probably shave off a millimeter of material and remove that top “bridge” above the hole and it should allow the waffles to feed more easily (also sending you the updated version with the next batch of loot). -I’m going to start testing with watermelons now that they’re in stock for me. I imagine they’ll have similar results to the accufakes because of the slightly smaller head

I could see this working as a good uzi for zombie rushes for HvZ or group charges in regular wars if you could get that FPS down a bit. And with that rail on the front, I like to think that you could make an adapter going from Adventure force rail to vulcan tripod, slap a 50-round drum in there, and having a neat machine gun emplacement. Also, maybe the worker full length darts might work well in this while giving good accuracy

Looking for a very slight performance upgrade on the matrixfire but still retaining AA batteries. What can be done? If I get new Fang motors, make an 18-guage rewire and get new flywheels but still have original batteries do you think I get a slight upgrade? Also, what diameter would you recommend? The goal is not to up the FPS but rather being able to sustain fire with mag adapter for a longer time.
@CaptainXavier2 жыл бұрын
Fang motors will almost certainly not even spin up on AA batteries. AA's simply do not provide enough current. That is why they fail with the increased rate of fire the mag adapter gives. Current = Torque. And increased rate of fire requires torque. You can try Honey Badger motors. They will run on AA's but because of that they will also likely not have enough torque.
@kokort22 жыл бұрын

@ryanassini47062 жыл бұрын
The good captains hit everything on the head in this video that I’d noticed with the design while making it. The one thing I failed to mention to him is the reasoning I suggest the original alkalines for the pusher, and that’s because they supply less current than a lipo. That way the wheel spins up more slowly and doesn’t instantly do a burnout on the dart. Then you can just run your flywheels off it’s own circuit and use a mossfet for the original rev switch if you want

Question/advice: I'm still fairly new to modding and want to mod a MatrixFire so it doesn't poop out the last half of a mag, but most of my battles involve little kids, so I don't want to go above 100 fps. Also because of little kids, I don't want to use LiPo batteries for safety reasons, so I'm in kind of a strange niche. Is there a way to thread this needle?
@CaptainXavier2 жыл бұрын
