I'm only a few days into playing Monk (been a Necro since launch) and haven't farmed all essences yet but I've been using the same shoulders and legs with Seven Sided Strike (legendary that makes one huge single lunging strike that damages and pushes players back) and I'm destroying lower res players and doing well against higher res players too. TY for all your vids, watched many of them the past few days, very helpful!

Yeah that build is really good too! Tiny bit more burst DMG, but only 1 charge and 12s CD on SSS and I prefer the dash on zen

Trust me run the build with deadly reach the primary attack wave also stuns and change the shoulders to attk speed shoulders the whole build stuns locks any enemy

Yeah escaping is a lot harder. Mostly should end the combo on your teamates side

I don't see many higher reso monk use my build I would love to see someone trying it. I use cyclone strike with dust storm chest and offhand radius. I used to use shimmerling but now use shoulder for 57% dmg mystic strike and lighting pants. Shield of zen with intervening law and helm purified thought. Flying kick. Great build for pushing idols and getting big amount of assist in a game.

@@zonshini To be even more specific, I use the cyclone strike pants that give 20% dmg reduction and awaken gives 10% cooldown reduction. This makes my mystic strike be the original that can drag a player behind me. I personaly use 4 set mountbank and 2 set gloom but a higher res probably take 4 set gloom in this case. I dash with shield of zen, I drop my cyclone strike to help push the idol, i dash back toward my team while bringing a playet either with flying kick or mystic strike. I protect my range players and go back in to drop cyclone strike again.

Yeah they are definitely usable too, but they have bit less dmg and you can be interrupted mid dash, but you get AoE knock and longer cc

Yes, you can use 6p gloom or 4p and mounte too!

The base definition says it knocks enemies back, and willbillows definition doesn’t say anything about that being different so it adds up. If willbillow was to not knock enemies back, the essence tooltip would add that in

the build is really cool, but not everyone has this resonance there, then it gets easier, right, if you record using these same essences but with 1400 resonance then it would be cool. we would see that with a cool build it is possible to beat p2w

There have been ppl with sub 2k reso testing this out with huge success, so it should work with low reso too, as long you don't get games with 5-7k I still can one combo 5k, but 7k is out of my league

I’m using this after the patch, took long enough to my fellow monks to discover this, try changing the chest piece to the additional damage of wave strike when loss of control. I’m a 2k reso but i can crit 220k in Bg

Same CD they are almost identical builds, with shimmerlinn having less DMG and less CC but more aoe, but fist does almost same DMG now as shimmerlinn 😂 I do better with this build compared to the old shimmerlinn, maybe it's preference or play style thing

I had 18% strife buff on that with 2% def buff.. 1k has about 11k DMG with 50% that's 16k while my 14k with 18% is around the same now 2% def doesn't really make it smaller while 30% does put it under the original so you could say they has better stats than me on those clips... Less hp tough, but better defense from strife buff
