An incredible person and a great example of real manliness: dignity, bravery and the best intentions to encourage other men to get help and protect other people from future potential attacks. Im so glad he got the help he needed and that he has a great future ahead of him.

Strong man. Noone should ever have to go through this. I read the story and it turns out the serial rapist only got 7 years in jail. Meanwhile, the victims will have to live with it for so long.

What a courageous man. The thing with rape is often the victim will put it to the back of their mind and not deal with it as it's too painful. Unfortunately, it will manifest in mental health problems, like depression and suicidal thoughts. It's difficult enough as a woman who has been raped, but for this man to waive his anonymity is going to help many other men who have been through the same thing. Especially nowadays the police are better at dealing with sexual abuse of both sexes. I know three men who have told me they were raped when they were kids, but didn't tell anybody. If it had happened nowadays something would be done about it. Sadly, the perpetrators are now dead, so they can't report it. For anybody, man or woman, who has been raped, report it. You will feel in control, be treated sympathetically, and get all the help you need to deal with the aftermath of the abuse. I am a survivor of rape, I'm not a victim, I am strong and will get stronger in time. I still have bad days and have attempted suicide 4 times, but each day is mine to do what I want. I'm not the same person I was before but I'm getting there. And to Chris well done for highlighting this horrific crime on men.

fair play to him for speaking out. Male rape is a very taboo subject still and I applaud this man for speaking about his horrendous experience.

My heart goes out to him, as I am a multiple survivor of this as well. This is especially difficult for me as bad enough for one incident but THREE!? I am amazed that no one has yet challenged the authenticity of my cases! This topped with a swirl of sexual assault (threatened rape). WHY this has all happened to me I can only assume being karmic. I have been silent for a long time as well. But one day as I discovered Michael Scare's book 'Male on Male Rape', and especially learning that this is not so rare of an occurrence after all, I finally mustered enough courage like this parson here as to come out to my sister (who has sustained serious sexual abuse as well) and she turned out be be VERY sympathetic towards my own plight. Strangely I have discovered that I have not ran into any significant doubters, which is good. Shows a more enlightened society. (Unrelated I noticed that Google Chrome has done it too, like Internet Explorer, upon saving these comments on YT, the paragraph spacing is automatically omitted making all commentators look rather stupid and uneducated! There is a REASON for paragraphs, but Google seems to disregard that as to make all commentators appear clueless in regard to proper writing. So please excuse as this has been a dirty trick from Google as to discourage intelligent dissent or rebuttal -- or in this case complements)!!

personal story: when i was 14 i thought i was in love with another man who was 16 we did everything a couple did except we kept it out of view from the public who were highly homophobic but even sweet men like he was can turn out to be complete monsters I didn't even see another man naked before but one day he asked me to go with him to his house which was empty and we were alone I thought he wanted me to snuggle on his bed and maybe play video games but instead when we did go to snuggle he tried to touch me i said no but he just said "please i really want it" it went to the point where I stood up and screamed no but after that he froze and the most sadistic smile went on his face after that I was pinned down and he forcibly took my virginity which was A. legally child molestation and B. rape I did take him to court where he was put in prison for 9 years and I still have to do therapy for what happened to me and now everytime a feminazi (a feminist who has an IQ lower than a grape) says that male rape doesn't exist I lecture her on how it does exist
