That seemed like a mischaracterization of Jerry Nadler’s actual response in the interview I saw. He seemed as if he has no confidence in Biden, but felt like, for now, there’s nothing we can really do. You couldn’t really get any sense of support, just resignation. I think there’s a pretty broad consensus among anyone even entertaining voting democratic that Trump is unfit. If it was just about electability, then fine, we stick with our guy and support him as best we can. But with visible symptoms of neurodegenerative issues, keeping Biden in office is starting to look increasingly reckless and irresponsible. I think the age frame has confused the issue a bit. Movement disorders become increasingly common with age, it’s true, but no person’s age defines him as mentally unfit in itself, but a significant cluster of neurological symptoms like this is definitely cause for reassessment.
