One of the best and well balanced review / first take about any bike. With more than 30 years of riding on most types of two wheelers available in India, I am convinced that no bike can ever tick all right boxes....one must decide his priorities and expectations, and then see that a bike under consideration should tick most no of right boxes! That's it. Beyond this, no one will ever be satisfied to the fullest extent. Once, a bike is possessed by you, after considering all aspects (including, finacial, social, need based factors, utility etc), you must be mentally prepared for little avoidable issues being addressed after you bought one. If you can't bear any niggles afterwords, I suggest, you shouldn't hurry in purchasing a machine. Fortunately, we have tremendous strength of social media to get the necessary (and unnecessary too😀) info about pluses and minuses about a product. (This aspect and spread of social media has alerted the manufactures and has kept them on their toes). One must be very clear on his or her priorities about a machine, other things get easier to decide about, for sure!!

Absolutely!! The bragging brigade is too hyper for their limited sojourns!! 😂 I have been travelling long routes since 32-33 years and have done so called offroads on village roads, agri fields, wild journeys in jungle paths even with our 1974 made Yezdi 250 for years together when "highways" used to be just wide enough to get only two vehicles crossing each other barely! Those days, a steelbird helmet used to weigh 2 kg or more 😂. I went through touring on various bikes, last being Himalayan 411 of 2018 make which has excellent ergonomics but shitty build quality. @55, I was waiting for such allrounder bike which should serve all purposes in everyday life and should also be available for long touring and just bit of offroading. Otherwise too, Indian roads, many a times, provide you with sudden feel of "offroad" owing to unexpected potholes.😂. Yes, Himalayan served good enough out of city but its 21"-17" inch set up with longer wheelbase had a bit difficult maneuvering in Mumbai city traffic. There comes the solution with 19"-17" wheels set up achieving a fairly good balance for allround purposes. Still, let's see what Himalayan 452 offers otherwise??🤔

@@PratikSatpute-z3xDo you have some information on the manufacturing techniques of KTM and Triumph engines by Bajaj that leads you to conclude that this bike is more reliable? I would approach the new Triumph 400s with the same scepticism as you are approaching KTM and RE. Triumph took some time to fix the notorious engine immobilizer issue in bikes like the Speed Twin and many bikes still have it. I would not expect a bike like this to be more reliable. Only Japanese bikes deserve blind trust up to an extent.
@PratikSatpute-z3x Жыл бұрын
@@twowheeledparadox I know the ex-R&D head of Bajaj, the man who made the Pulsar. Build quality on the Triumph and KTMs are better because despite manufacturing methods, the quality standard is set by Triumph & KTM. There's not a lot of wiggle room for them. I'm not trusting them blindly. I'm not saying anything about its reliability. It's a better fit for my requirements. I remember the Himalayan 411, it took four years for it to stabilise. This should be fine by the second or third lot, about a year in.

@koonavamshi72845 ай бұрын
Cuong Nguyen, a motorcycle safety expert, explains that applying the brakes in a radial or gradual manner helps maintain traction and control when using disc brakes. Here's why: 1. *Even pressure distribution*: Radial braking applies pressure to both brakes (front and rear) simultaneously, distributing the force evenly. This helps maintain balance and stability. 2. *Prevents wheel lockup*: Gradual braking reduces the likelihood of the wheels locking up, which can lead to skidding and loss of control. 3. *Maintains traction*: By applying the brakes smoothly, you preserve traction, allowing the tires to grip the road and maintain control. 4. *Improves stopping power*: Radial braking can shorten stopping distances, as both brakes work together to slow the vehicle. 5. *Enhances rider control*: This technique allows riders to adjust braking pressure as needed, giving them more control over the vehicle. To apply radial braking: 1. Start by applying gentle pressure to both brakes simultaneously. 2. Gradually increase pressure as needed to slow down or stop. 3. Adjust pressure smoothly, without sudden changes.

Congratulations for the fantastic review, but as a 5'8" touring intended person, should I wait for Himalayan 452? However this is a great looking bike, hope behaviour of Triumph dealers are like that.

I'm a fellow rtr 200 owner. Just got a speed 400 too for the serious bump (x2) in power and VFM proposition.
@Shahbs Жыл бұрын
@@MayurSinghTomar ya.. i know.. the thing is.. i live in a countryside, where bad roads are more common.. and i had few accidents due to bad roads. Especially because i owned first gen rtr 200 without abs . Tree of the accidents happened because of locking up of front tyre. And everytime i wish my bike should had abs. Especially with some Pirellies, which will work brilliantly only on tarmac and not on offrods. ( i know there are off road tyres.. but since i ride 80+ % on tarmac , i cant choose off road tyres either ) . And after seeing the ton of safety net offerings on RTR 310, including abs, traction control , cruise control, rlp , bla bla bla... I am having second thoughts about speed / scrambler 400 . Also i need an instrument cluster with navigation and connected features.. If triumph have offered a modern day cluster for 10-20k more.. i would have still stand for it. For me the current instrument cluster feel like its something taken from old pulser stocks. Something like on trident 660 would have been great for some additional price.

@@vinaykaushik3839 vfm... For now it is absolutely yes.. even for regular service and long run oil change intervels ..but once you messed up some spare parts.. you have to buy those from triumph.. that wont be vfm. Take the case of honda cb300R. Thats a direct one.. and its not cheep. Even duke spares ... Well.. we have to consider the long run costs too to give a vfm proposition.. right ?

I just wanted to watch this review once i put this bike on my wishlist. The video surely is delightful with visuals and the audiography. But it has problems like all the review videos it has problem / shortcoming when it comes to comment about the seat height. Please try to describe the seat height with some perspective.. what is the better word.. the reference!. Use some reference of someone's exact height and show that relative seat height comparison. Trust me it will be one good addition to the content.
