I worked on a 2008 fireblade in my garage a couple of years ago, that had been converted for its owner, with 1 arm. It had a right side clutch lever, so you had the clutch, front brake and throttle all on the 1 hand. That's probably the only bike I've never test rode before giving back to the owner.

Interesting, the dude I know has a VTX1800 with one handlebar with throttle/clutch, and brakes by foot. No way in hell I’m comfortable enough with my balance like those guys. THAT’S riding haha

I know a dude who lost his arm while riding.. They rigged his VTX1800 to have front/rear brakes on the pedal, and only has one handle bar with the throttle and clutch. Total badass

wish i could like this video more than once. thanks yam. my dad lost his leg in ama superbikes in the 80s. he has never ridden since. i doubt he would be able as he lost most of the use of his right arm too. but, im sure he would love to try to find a way to get him back in the saddle some day. bike mods for the disabled have been long overdue.

Love this u have a winning attitude. I too am an above knee amp and have been riding motorcycles for the last 30 years. Prosthetics weren't as advanced when i started and i gave up on mine anyway, so i ride without one. I'm missing the opposite leg so we built linkage to put shifter on right side and i shift with my heel and brake with my toe. That gives me separate control over both brakes. I've mostly ridden street bikes but started with adventure riding about 5 years ago. I rode my f650gs from Canada to Cabo. I too have trouble standing and riding and if i dab on one side I'm eating dirt lol. If I'm ever up Utah way I'll look u up.

Also missing my right leg above the knee, I ride a 2018 beta 390rr race edition constantly and the only mod I’ve made to it is a cheap ox brake lhrb kit 🤷🏻‍♂️. Granted left would be a lot more difficult but if you wanna ride it’s not hard. The worst part by far is just trying to keep your damn leg on and keep your foot on the peg 😂
