just got mine yesterday, and wanted to say thanks for the video here. it was helpful in making this decision. first impression out of the box is the build quality is far better than i understood from watching several videos. nice hardware, no slack in anything, not a lot of plastic. prob the most impressed right now from initial test, didn't expect to be able to use anything beyond 80-100mm without having excessive shake. put the 70-200 on all the way zoomed in, and gotta say it's highly usable footage, kinda made my day tbh. hadn't found a review that tested this, and glad to report it handles it well. just wanted to throw a few notes in here for folks researching this thing. it's vids like your and supplemental comments that help us shooters make good decisions. sidenote: i didn't realize you could purchase the Pan head only, thought it was only P+T available as unit For $150-200 can get the pan module, and will def be my next purchase for sure. I don't have a lot of use for the tilt feature on this, and was reluctant to spend the $600 for this add-on initially. keep up the good work on the vids!

Thank You! This is no doubt one of the best sliders I own, and I actually have the new long slider from Zeapon, I still have to make a video on that, hopefully I'll get to that soon as they really make fantastic sliders. I'm glad I could help in some way.

@@PhillipSkraba oh, the new Axis ... nice nice. lot to love about that one as well, great it comes with Pan head and really like the digital readout/screen on motor vs just a couple buttons. Had to go with this E1000 for jumping on flights/travel work, but likely that Axis being great upgrade down the road. Feel like the world of sliders was a pretty rough market 2010 thru COVID-ish, just seemed to be overpriced addition to kit that came with lot variables/frustration. Love seeing these Zeapon // iFootage releases last couple years and bringing a highly usable component to our productions, for a very reasonable amount of money. After seeing results of these rough tests last night, I'm honestly kinda giddy about using this thing. keep up the good work!

I have everything Edelkrone in my studio, and I love their products, though sometimes tension adjustment drives me crazy, it's a fantastic system and app. The Zeapon Micro 3 took the idea of a double length slider and made a great job, the Micro 3 improved on the Micro 2 in every single way, except for F-ing up the app and removing the option to ramp, which the Edelkrone does perfectly. If Zeapon add that, it'll be a perfect system, very similar to the Edelkrone, but without the damn tension adjustment and a lot of super tiny innovations that make it easy to create with.

Hi, great video, different from others because I see all the problems with synchronization. Did Zeapon fix the synchronization between a slider and Pons PT? Did Zeapon fix ease-in and ease-out ramping speeds at the end of the loop? And, what is the maximum travel time at 1% speed on the M700 slider? Thank you for answers...

cool video! so did they add a speed ramp since the firmware updates are so frequent as I understood in the review? and do you still like it or did some quirks happen since using the slider? thanks for your feedback :)
@PhillipSkraba8 ай бұрын
Thanks! It's a great slider I continue to use actually, 99% of the time. The lack of speed ramp pissed the nuts off me, and I've been asking Zeapon to add this since forever. They did have it in the first app. Then their R&D dept basically moved to Hawaii, ordered 2,000 Mai Tais and fell asleep on the beach, or at least that's how I imagined it. Great slider, shame about the lack of speed ramp, but apart from that it's golden.

@Phillp Skraba would you rather consider this zeapon micro 3 (without pons pt head) or go with ifootage shark nano? shark nano is about 16inches on tripod i know and thats kinda short i think, and considering this it consists of servo motor and that makes noise and i have read some reviews that its motor is really loud and cant be used for interviews kinda scenarios. What do you say your thoughts would be much appreciated.
@PhillipSkraba Жыл бұрын
Having used both, but only owning the Zeapon, I'd probably go with the Zeapon. It's very quiet, it's smooth, sure, it lacks ramping at the moment, but apparently that is coming very soon, and it's really easy to add parts to it to give it intelligent orbit which I love! The speed at which you can switch it up to manual mode also is fantastic.

Hi Phillip, great review. I'm hesitating between the Micro 3 E500 and the Micro 2 Plus (the new version) for interiorism where the lines must be perfect (and don't have the 'crazy banana'😁). I'm wondering about the stability at the end of the slider using a Sony 7III with Canon 24 Tilt-Shift. Do you think the Micro 2 Plus is sturdy enough or I have to go to the Micro 3 because of the tripod support rods?

I prefer the MOZA Slypod Pro especially for outdoors and for it's size. But having both and keeping this one at the studio is just perfection if money is no issue.
@PhillipSkraba Жыл бұрын
The Moza Slypod Pro is cool, I have all of them in my studio, and I use the Zeapon the most due to it's 3 axis movement, obviously without the need for a gimbal attached lol. The Slypod thought, pro or standard version has a very, very good superpower, and that's macro. I have a ton of sliders in my studio and there is no slider as smooth as the SlyPod Pro for macro shots, and the cool thing is that it can go through things with it form factor. All great tools!
@Bo_Hazem Жыл бұрын
@@PhillipSkraba Amazing feedback, mate! As said, I think the Zeapon is better for indoors/studios, Slypod Pro great for travel/hiking/outdoors for its form factor. Also great to know that it's solid for macro as that's what I would be shooting outdoors! Also the Slypod can easily slide looking 90degree downwards.

Hi Phillip, Nice video on the Micro 3 Plus. Been waiting for this upgrade from the Micro 2. I think the E700 is a nice sweet spot between E500 and E1000 in terms of distance, weight, and size. I’ve seen complaints on the loudness of the motor but I think it’s on the E1000. Do you hear it on the E700. A couple thoughts: - hope Edelkrone upgrades their slider to Zeapon or Zeapon makes a Head Plus/Pro and improves their app. If only they had a baby together! 😅 - with all the AI from Hohem M6 and Insta360 flow, I’m curious the what can be done with product,macro, and talking heads and corporate interviews using the AI tracking. Or using the DJI Ronin RS2/3 Pros with this slider as it also has tracking features
@PhillipSkraba Жыл бұрын
The E700 is the perfect length for me, the E500 would be too small and I wouldn't know where to put the E1000, so yes, perfect. No, I don't hear the motors on the E700, well, unless I really put my ear up to it, but it's not a noise that will bother you. The Pons PT is pretty great, and really fast to work with, but sure, a more advanced Head Plus system would be great, I have the HeadPlus on my Edelkone and it's pure power. I do wish they update the app to include ramping, that would really make me happy. A.I. I guess could be implemented in some way, mind you, only you know where you want your macro to be focused, that's why a lot of macro lenses are manual, but for interviews it would be great to have face tracking in teh future.

That is so freaky, I have no idea what that is, I just watched it back and it wasn't like that in the original footage, it was smooth as butter. It's possible KZbin is compressing it and it's turning my 25fps into 30fps and making things look cringy. The bottom line, when it comes to sliders, I haven't used a smoother one than the Zeapon sliders, they're excellent and keep on getting better.
