This MOVE is UNGUARDABLE in NBA 2K24! Best HOP JUMPER for Shot Creators.

The hop jumper/stepback is one of the most used moves by shot creators in the NBA...but for some reason, in NBA 2K24 I rarely see players use it. If you follow the channel, you know I'm always switching around my sigs & I recently came across a hop jumper that has been helping me score pretty much AT WILL. This hop jumper can be equipped on any build below the height of 6'10!

For those looking to add the hop jumper to your game, here’s a valuable tip in my opinion. Now as he stated, there is two ways to trigger the animation, using square and using the right stick, but these two methods are not equal and have pros and cons. For square, I think it’s easier to time than the stick because we naturally shoot with the square button. In contrast, if you shoot with the stick it may seem weird at first but it has a big advantage over square in my opinion when specifically shooting hop jumpers, as it allows you to be able to cancel them mid animation. Square has a higher floor but the right stick has a higher ceiling as you can start experimenting with fake hop jumpers for different scenarios, wether it be you attempt it but you don’t like the space you have to shoot, or you just wanna mix into a combo to get a defender to bite hard or commit with a jump.

To be fair you can do all of that with square as well , I thought the same as you but when experimenting you can tap square and you can fake off that tapping it and quickly holding square thereafter makes the timing feel a lot smoother and quicker as well! Food for thought

Try normal 2. It give an ankle breaker animation almost everytkme when u have shooting takeover and u can cancel out of it. My 6'10 be making ppl look stupid lol especially other bigs with no defense.. and dont let an ai be on me with takeover.. spamming normal 2 hop backs every possession and dropping the ai will guarantee a double team and leave someone else open lol ​@definitelynotaweeb1111

0:38 is exactly one of the reason i don't use step backs 2k inconsistent contest system just makes it a unreliable shot imo 21% is ridiculous paired with the fact that the step backs for 6'5 are far more inferior in comparison to small guards who have step backs that create so much space in comparison were as with bigger guards you'd need a lot more finesse with it

I’d go higher middy because that’ll open up way more animations to use in the jump shot creator. Better badge spread too. I can’t really speak on speed with ball tho, 75 is all u really need unless ur going for badges or for kyrie’s dribble style

@@Dimework we have very similar playstyles I just more of a slasher than you are. Lavine is Cool Kobe is Cool but Normal 2 has been the best for the last 3 2Ks. Its Quick, EXPLOSIVE Easy to green and you can dribble out of it! It’s UNGUARDABLE 1v1 or Fast break situations I can send insane clips if you want
