Amazing! Looks beautiful! Love that you moved those banners!!! And your atrium bump out is fantastic! I want to add that to one of my buildings somewhere!!! (I think with vines on those top studs it’d be perfect!!!) I plan to extend the sides on mine the same way… of course I’ll build mine in Black & White to match my all Black & White city! But I’m also going to add a 3rd floor… with slightly shorter windows! …. Just waiting on my 200 candle pieces to arrive from bricklink to begin my build! I plan to use mine as the New Town Hall!

I think in hindsight the expansion sideways makes it feel more balanced. It seems really natural. It was a super fun build and a pretty straight forward moc. Have so much fun building!

Uhh, really great idea about swapping the gray and white line with olive, I'm definetly gonna do that to mine when I get it. And I really like the idea with the cafe and the windows expansion. Some wines up the wall would definetly fit, but its color might be a challange with the olive green wall. Will be looking forward to see more of the museum in the future ^_^

What a fun video!! I really enjoyed the seer happiness and enthusiasm you displayed in the video which translated to an epic mod! I love the extensions and the banner posts. I definitely will be adding those banner posts to my museum😊 The extra olive plates replacing the white and stone grey plates really do make a wonderful improvement. Can’t wait to see how you fill the interiors. Looking forward to the next build and banter too when the fancy hits you.

Hahaha you basicly did what I wanted do do ! Right down to the banners (planning to open up the income two storeys and have them in the entrance instead of the outside. Also planning to expand it even to the back to host my other dino skeletons (T-rex from JP and a custom diplodocus. So funny how many people respect the restrictions of the size in which Lego released it and took it on theirselves to expand it. This is the first time my instant reaction was ok I'm going to expand this. Normally I build it and respect it for what it is but here everybody ralies to expand it: to the stars and beyond !

Not been much of a MOCer over the years, and do not have a city. So the modular buildings have never appealed to me, but this is a truly stunning set and an even better MOC. I wasn’t expecting to like it so much. Am I going to get one, I doubt it but I’ve never been so on the fence about a modular before. Dam you Johanna 🤣

I saved mine to build after Christmas and just finished it today Beacuse of this and your inspiring video, I was able to acquire the parts to remove the gray and white lines in time for the build. For the museum sign brackets, instead of switching to white, I covered them with olive green 1x1 slopes and used an olive green 1x2 tile between.

I stumbled across your channel a little over a month ago and you've reignited my love for lego that was practically dead for a few years. Ive bought 2 enormous lego sets in the last 2 paydays because of seeing how much fun you have in your videos and it's gave me a real hobby again, which i was heavily lacking in my life, so thank you! Also, your videos really brighten my evenings when i get home from work. Im going through a lot right now, Ill save you the details. But, watching you talk so passionately and really enjoy building gives me a lot of joy! I really can't wait to see what you build next! Have a lovely week!

What a massive improvement. Love it. I think you should add a second pair of Microfigures to the roof and place them above the windows on both sides to give it a little bit more structure: Great job as always! Cant wait for the inside: More Dinosaurs!! :) "All I want for christmas is Mieow"??! Is that a tshirt?

Loools gorgeous! There are any construction plans you edited to upgrade the museum? Ty
@warrentam2847 Жыл бұрын
Hi Johanna, awesome to see how your MOC-ing skills have advanced over the years! I have a question for you, please. When you used to have your Lego room inside the house, did you have issues with sunlight and pieces yellowing? Your videos in the past also seem to have daylight in the background. I live in a condo apartment and to display any Lego, they are inevitably exposed to sunlight and UV rays even though I generally have my curtains down. Would love to know if you experienced the same before in the old Lego rooms and have any ideas! Thanks.
@HighTeaToys Жыл бұрын
The room in the old house had a blind I had closed whilst I wasn’t in there to help protect it as that room got direct sun in the morning. The room in my current house never got direct sunlight which was helpful so all I did was add a transparent blind to help filter the UV but still keep the daylight. That seemed to work pretty well. Hope that helps

Thank you, Johanna. That helps!

I think having the different colours for each floor is more in line with they other modulars they all have a different colour divide. But luckily the upgrade was simple. Though a touch pricy

How did you do that? The roof looked so complex but you smashed it! The finished product is just awesome and agree the video doesn't give it justice. How did you come up with the idea of making two sets in to one?
@HighTeaToys Жыл бұрын
I just kinda wanted to make it a little bigger but not too much. Extending with 8 studs is the straight forward option as that’s the width of the window section so makes it easier.
@e443productions9 Жыл бұрын
I love it! Although I am a bit worried that the botanical gardens might block off the view of the museum? Another thing too is that I still think it would be nice to have some sort of strip lights above the modulars to give them better lighting (it’s kinda hidden in shadows other than being lit from the inside)
@HighTeaToys Жыл бұрын
It’s kinda the reason I wanted to make it taller. But I think it works with a half baseplate in the middle.

absoloutley one of the best modulars for a long time, it's a great as the town hall and grand emprioum . How man pieces did you use from the second set? Is it worth getting a second one ??? Id like I higher building and slightly higher roof on mine . Also xtra space inside for exhibits .

Wow what a difference changing the grey and white line in the middle makes! Do you think it was worth getting the 2nd set for the extension or it could be done just ordering parts from Bricklink?
@HighTeaToys Жыл бұрын
I’m. Not entirely sure if I’m honest. For just the walls it may be cheaper getting the bricks. (Especially if you wait as more people will part them out going forward) but not 100% sure. It was certainly easier this way.

What you've built there is what I was hoping/praying the Museum modular was going to be like in the first place. Was really quite disappointed when Lego showcased the original set
@Zabadak Жыл бұрын
Great Mod of the Museum. And always I thought the different coloured stripe of the extra floor. Was a nice colour detail. But what you did is more like in real 😃👍 The roof in the middle section with more curved corners. Detonates with the sharp corners of the side roofs. I the original build. With your bigger build it's les disturbing

if you have some olive green tiles over maybe you can put on the glasses dome to finished the stud away? but that is mine oppinion but it does look great.
