Once a dog has heartworm, it’s tough to rehab. Add age, then you’re struggling with liver issues or thyroid issues. At least he’s not suffering and out running wild anymore. You at least did him a kindness. 💖

I see you struggle with the trash bag. In USA they make springy laundry "baskets" that one can collapse and store flat or expand to make a round drum shaped container. This would be great for you to use as a portable trash can. Simply place the trash bag in it and have the top edge of the bag hang down the outside. It would keep the bag open and standing vertical for you while you work. As always, thank you for helping this dog. Love to your wife as well. I miss seeing her on your videos.

This has got to be the worst coat condition I have ever seen a dog, so sad this his how he suffered for years in his old age. What a terrible end to a very sad life. You did everything you could for him, Damjan, and gave him a couple of months of being pain free and loved. I cannot imagine letting a dog be that neglected - torture is the only word to describe what he went through. Unfortunately some people should not have animals or children in this world. You should find yourself a 5 gallon bucket so you put the trash bag into to hold it open. You can also pack things in and out as a mobile kit. Sedation and anesthesia is always a risk, but it does increase with age and health conditions. Sorry the little guy passed, he was lucky for your loving kindness, if even for a short time.

It looks like even though this is a terrible case of matting, they aren’t really close to the skin and ire shaving off quite nicely. Anything that makes the process easier. You are an amazing human being. As they say on Vet Ranch. “ You are the voice of the voiceless”.

I am a groomer and have had to groom severely matted dogs. You did a tremendous job with this poor animal. I often wanted to have my matted dogs sedated just because it is so difficult and traumatic to get to mats so close to the skin, but was never able to do it. I was very impressed with how you clipped the nails. I was so afraid that as they grow so long the quick is often closer to the end of the nail, but you managed to cut quite short without any bleeds. Bravo and may God bless you for what you do. So sad that his health was so poor that he didn't make it, but he died clean and cared for. Thank you for making these videos, getting the word out, and educating people about proper care for their animals.
