This yard was completely out of control. The grass was growing into the street and the sidewalk was completely unusable! Luckily, the homeowner was nice enough to let me get it back in shape for him and the neighborhood.

Yeah I thought the homeowner wasn’t that interested. Another thing I’ve noticed is how fast the automobiles drive around the roads very dangerous for kids riding bikes etc.

Yes there are benefits to both. Mulching is a little bit cleaner but you have to do more passes.

Congrats on your marriage! I just wanted to make a small suggestion. Get yourself a pick ax for the impacted dirt on the curbs. Use it to gouge out the impacted dirt then shovel it. Works so much better than fighting it with a shovel, imo.

AND Why don't these able body people not out there helping you in any way...like get off his lazy butt and really show some appreciation for having a self motivated young man doing his yard and doing it free. My wife and I head to work at 6:30 am, and don't get home till between 6 pm (or 7 pm on the every other day we go to check on my mother 10 miles away). Often when we get home, Thursday evening, I change my clothes and go mow while my wife tends to teh flowers, then we eat supper, and crash. I don't care how long my day is, my yard is a reflection of my "caring" for what we live in. And if not Thursday evening, then Sunday morning before breakfast, I've already gotten the lawn mowed and trimmed. This owner would prefer to watch TV, or videos.
