This looks like everything I wanted div2 to be, albeit streamlined and with more focus on balanced gameplay dynamics. 7x3 = 21 players in an instance be interesting if that is per zone or total map, also if all zones can be accessed in an instance or if it’s zone based. Regardless I am optimistic

It looks like a mobile game. I know that it's not. There's more to The Division and all Tom Clancy titled games so it's a little disappointing that XDefiant, Ghost Recon Frontline, The Division Heartland all seem to look like a type of battle royale with some looter and SHD tech elements too it. I play for the story. And although I've played the PVP parts of Division 2, I only did so with a crew because there's no point to do so otherwise. PVP brings out the worst in any game community. That's probably why Battlefront 2 has NO chat options. I hate the inevitable hacking, the pay to win, and the connected players that have somebody working for Ubisoft or one of their vendors. I was hoping for a Division or Ghost Recon title that took the story to another major city. Preferably New York but San Francisco, Hong Kong, Houston, or some other city would've been cool too. Survival focus, tech deficient, immersive mode only game would be cool.

Looks like it will be really good , The filter reminds me of Ghost Breakpoint when you needed to wear filters to go in certain infected areas ! I’m sure there will be a lot of in game purchases with certain weapons that you will never lose if purchased

The shd beacon they show. You have to assault it first to take it back to use it. You have to craft filters to survive in the storm. Also gear matters alot. Because why you might ask. Because if you die in silver creek. You lose all of your gear and have to craft new gear again. Also night time is basically DZ zone. There is a battle pass as well. Sadly

Game looks very promising. I'm just curious about the medkits. Holding down to use a medkit in division 2 put off alot of pvp players playing, so I hope heartland can change it to how it is in division 1 with just a quick tap to use medkit.

I think the reason the gear options are more limited and just scale in quality, is to keep people from having gear fear. If uou drop it all when you die. A lot easier to regear if there arent one million options.

From last week leaked footage, stealth takedowns with melee weapons can kill a red bar, but they're still working on takedown animations. As for talents, I have seen some on High end gloves and Chest Rigs earlier leaks. You can start with nothing, but a basic grey gear if you want. You can call in a loadout drop later.

Very excited for this one, no AAA studio has created a legit extraction game yet, although there's a bunch on the horizon. Ubisoft/Red Storm could really be ahead of the pack here and set the tone for a well-resourced, known IP extraction game, but I think it won't be that easy for them. It looks like there's pre-determined characters you can play from, which like you said is part of the F2P and monetization aspect, that might rub people the wrong way. Also the classes and Division gadgets look kind of limited, especially when the series is known for letting you experiment with different loadouts and builds as an RPG, but this may not be so flexible since it's technically a survival/extraction shooter. Div 1's Survival mode was a huge hit so if they can tap into that feeling it gave us, which I think is their goal here, they could really be on to something.

I got to beta test Heartland and they have done something different with the camera and movement. I am really prone to motion sickness but have never had issues with division 2. When I tested Heartland I got sick very quickly. Tried it again couple days later I got motion sick again.

Having high hopes for this... Ubisoft and Red storm sits on some of the best tactical pvp/pve games in recent history. Take Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Ghost Recon Phantoms (only needed better anticheat, and a balanced buy-model to be the best comp.pvp game EVER) and pair this with Div1 dz and survival they got something cooking in there !!! Damn i miss GR:Phantoms... it was a gem !

I don't know if I misunderstood what was said in the video of the developers, but I'm having a hard time with the "losing all when you die" thing. I would like it to be like dark zone from division 2, where if you die, you only lose what you have in your backpack and not on your person, but that's just me though. Although I will still play this game when it releases, but I think I would just never take any yellow gear with me into a fight, because I would be afraid to lose it :D

You keep what you extract, you don't lose everything. You only lose what you didn't extract if you die. So point being, early in the map, if you find a God roll piece of loot, extract and get out. Otherwise, you risk losing it at night when players are allowed to flag rogue.

This looks great, obviously its a lot more expansive than survival from div1 but its going to be one heck of a game if it can capture survivals atmosphere, im played no other game like to date thats had me on the edge of my seat absolutely crapping it bumping into a patrol during a snowstorm or having to abandon my extraction because a group of 3 gave me their hunters to deal with lol that game mode is probably the most perfect part of everything that we have experienced as a division agent so far, if heartlands capture that we are all in for some memorable times and i cant wait! With it being free to play i really hope we dont have some sort of pay to win aspect to the experience, that would be a massive fail from red storm!

I am still concerned how will they handle the Main story progress with this game. They will need to account for campers on Main Story objectives during night time since certain things may not be accessable unless players progress the main storyline unless Main story is only active during daytime when it is pure PvE. Not to mention how will they handle the Solo Survival style gameplay with the Group Survival style gameplay. We seen in some screenshots already Main story will be required to unlock certain things for the full Survival Extraction experience so there is certainly going to be a focus on newer players unlocking everything first before they enter the PvPvE night time experience.

They have to figure out the disconnects because guys it's Ubisoft. There will be massive disconnects and loot will be lost. Also ppl will disconnect if they get to an unfavorable situation. first two game test had no skills. 3rd test introduce class base skills but they dont work like you think they do. very different from division 2 skills. some require ammo and some require charges to use. @@NothingButSkillz

i can say this. the game has changed alot. test one 90% of the map was a storm. test 2 they changed it to storm clouds that moved and rotated around the map. crafting materials were very hard to find first time. got way easier to find after that. @@NothingButSkillz

Honestly I have given up on PVP with cheaters and I play console. Unfortunately I will not play this for those reasons. If it was PVE then I would definitely try it, but I am console so will stay away from it.

I played this game before it wasn’t too good. It lacked a lot, and there wasn’t any character customization either. Only can change their shirt and backpack 🎒. So it was a let down when I played it.

The medkits was a press and hold to use, so yeah you'll have to make sure you have cover as the NPC's can be super overpowered. But if you stick to the group of players you see running around on the map you can have like 8 players or more going against a boss@@seansearle2995

unfortunately with all free to play FPS games, cheaters will ruin this game... as a console player I hope crossplay isn't forced, I just cant take fps games seriously with how bad cheating has became normalized.. hopefully there's a good anti-cheat, but we all know Ubisoft fails when it comes to this, some kind of input based matchmaking, and console only matchmaking

I play both, Sadly I didn't have any PVP encounter in the Beta, I found the game very lazy made, same voices of Division 2, same sounds, same movements (That's a good thing cause Div 2 is great) but It felt to copy paste. The inventory system was really bad imo, it need a lot of work. The AI felt dumb, 1/2@@NothingButSkillz

All I know is I'm not going to be playing it. If cross play is enabled and enforced on console players. The level of cheating will be insane We already have a hard time as is dealing with people that can throw their entire arm across their table and do point and click adventure games. This will just make it 50 times worse. I've already encountered a half dozen cheaters on division 2 that were blatantly cheating in the dark zone by running around spamming unlimited sticky bomb grenades and spawning in 50 turrets. I don't need this as well

@@SmilingDriftwood-bb5ox no you are wrong its not like division games on DZ- you lost all your gear- i saw 6h gameplay in heartland- you die - you lost everthing- from 6am - 9 PM you extract on laptops - 9PM - 6am only on heli at night- when you die on NPC in PVE mode - you lost everthing

I love the division 1 and 2, and I was in the beta for Heartland.... And imo its a big disappointment. I 100% get a beta has some jank but I just can't see myself playing much of this and Im patiently waiting for division 3. I'm sad to see yet another game jumping on the extraction shooter fad, VERY few are successful. It just didn't feel good. Melee was pointless and just felt like fortnite. I hope someone gets some enjoyment out of it and it keeps massive creating more games, especiall division universe games, it's just not for me.

I played a test version of this last year and it was boring. For a free to play extraction shooter they need to remove a lot of the clunkiness of Division 2 movement. Get it closer to the freedom of division 1. This feeling of running around with a full diaper is gonna turn a lot of people off. It basically feels like a DIvision 2 add-on. If they were smart they would make it play like Division 1 with quicker movement, skill use and intensity. As of now....boring.

I don't know why you are so hyped for doesn't seem any different than any other survival extraction game. It actually seems worse than survival by everything they have said. And the fact that it's not division like gear is dumb. Also if there's no weather effects and jackets or anything you need I think that's lame. Winter time is perfect because you have to survive against the elements and level up winter gear as well as normal gear. Like the old saying goes of it ain't broke don't try and fix it everyone someone tries to they ruin it. Nobody ever learns.
