I hope that the new version is less... overwhelming? I used to play a lot and got to level 40 in no time when it first came out, but after that there's been so many updates that makes the UI super busy (Do this! Do that!!! Get the subscription for this!!!!) and kinda makes it a bit overwhelming to come back to. Idk maybe that's just me, but it feels like the current version can be annoying for new or returning players

I understand that. I feel very similarly about the UI being really cluttered and noisy. Hopefully it will all calm down in the new app!

You explained it perfectly another game I had to take a break from was fallout 76. Its just overwhelming sometimes I just want to unwind when I play lol

this is true, but at the very least there are no microtransactions or subscription plans in the new game, so at the very least you won't get the subscription notifications

To be honest, I'm not planning on getting Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, as I think I've said before. The reason why I stopped playing the original version is because I ended up getting Animal Crossing burnout, probably from doing the same things over and over again. With this new game, I'd be going back to that, only now I have to pay to do it. I know this game has new features and everything Pocket Camp Club gave to subscribers, but that's not enough to get me back to playing. I guess that's how Animal Crossing can be. You enjoy one of their games for a long time, and then one day, you might find you just don't enjoy them anymore. I know it can be like this for all games, but in my case with Animal Crossing, I've come to realise something. If I go back to playing, I'll basically be returning to this cycle: 1. Start playing/playing again 2. Enjoy it for months or so 3. Not enjoy it so much/miss a day of playing and get Animal Crossing burnout 4. Don't play again for a long time 5. Reset, and back it's back to 1. again It's because of that cycle that I can't enjoy New Horizons anymore, and with Pocket Camp Complete, it would basically be the same as this, except the difference is restarting wouldn't be as easy. Since I don't play the original Pocket Camp anymore, restarting would be easy, but if I get burnout again, it wouldn't be as simple, or even possible depending on the situation, so a fresh start could potentially be off the table. With all that in mind, there's no way I'm getting this new version of Pocket Camp, especially when it has to be paid for. (As for the next Animal Crossing game after this, I'm sure I'll at least consider giving it a try. It's just with Pocket Camp Complete basically being the same game I've played before but with new features, I'm not doing that. This sort of thing worked on me for New Leaf - Welcome Amiibo, but that was probably only because it was a free update, and I didn't have to buy the game again.) Anyway, I'm sure there are players who'll enjoy the game, be it for the first time or returning to it. I just won't be one of them. (Sorry for saying all of that. I didn't mean to be melancholic about this game, or Animal Crossing in general.)

Totally understand that it's not for you. Not every game is for every person and as long as you are enjoying the things you play, that is the most important thing 😊
